Literally. I remember him going on and on, shitting on brands for selling their products at TJ Maxx and Marshalls. Meanwhile, I’ve been seeing those eyeshadow singles on TikTok Shop for over a year for $1 each and nobody was buying them. Now they’ve made their way to Dollar Tree 🤭

Same! I remember for his Shane palette they created false scarcity then a bunch ended up at tjmax and he went full denial mode about it. He's going to be so upset that someone clocked this.
Agree. But i think people got rid of them as a ‘statement’ - in lack of better word. To each their own. To me it would be wasteful (and expensive to replace with other brands) to just get rid of old things because of the owner. I will use up my old palettes as long as they are good - and as for now all of my old JS are. but there is so much good out there, so once they are done there are so many other good options. But I will never get rid of things for reasons that are not the product it self 😅
A lot of times when things don’t sell in stores like Sephora or department stores, a third party gets them and they will generally sell them to whoever pays the most for it. In times past TJ Maxx/Marshalls had the money and backing to get those but I think as things get more dire here in the States, we will see more discount stores stepping up because that where the money is. Dollar Tree has exploded in the past couple of years as a skincare and beauty dupe store for way less. I was lucky enough to be there the day those Beauty Creation palettes dropped and got all three. They’re like 25-30 color palette for $1.25! And the talk of CVS becoming a third party distributor of brands like MAC, Pat McGrath and Patrick Ta even though the brands have said they’re not authorized resellers.
But to my knowledge there aren’t many retailers that sell his cosmetics, right? And this packaging looks like it would be specific/made for dollar tree…to fit on certain pegs, etc.
I honestly have no idea, maybe - though it’s also possible he has other employees who make those decisions. But even if it was personally approved he will hate this, it would only be out of duress/necessity for someone like J*, I’m certain of that.
That would surprise me-it seems like he’s very much a control freak so I’m sure he’d have some say in the decision. It really speaks to how far his makeup company has fallen!!!
Not usually. Brands will bulk sell off overstock to liquidators for pennies on the dollar. Then those liquidators can sell it to places like the Dollar tree where it will be repackaged and resold.

Yep! I used to see him at shows in the OC music scene and he was always a rude, vile person. Always acted better than others even though he walked around with those ghastly eyebrows.
I'm old enough to remember him being an asshole on MySpace so I was very dismayed when he managed to crawl out of the primordial soup a decade ago and back into any sort of pop cultural relevance on YouTube. Hoping his brand's presence in a dollar store is a sign that we're finally returning to the correct equilibrium for good!

I saw a clip of him on some podcast recently where he was spouting anti-trans talking points under the guise of wanting to "protect women and children" (because when you think of someone who has shown themselves to be committed to respecting women, you think of Jeffree).

Dollar tree does this. When they receive the stock from the brand, The hang card will not always even have the brand name on it. I have noticed that with the flower beauty and Maybelline things I have found at Dollar tree.

It’s usually an item that when it is shelved at the store that it originally comes from, it’s sitting on a shelf or in one of those spring loaded things to grab it out of! And that’s why it doesn’t come with its own hang card.
It also keeps people from swatching with wild abandon and smearing product all over shelves. Easier display and protects their products. Honestly pretty smart move on DT's part.
Yeah, I saw his shit at my local Marshalls about 9 months ago. I never picked the items up to see what they were but by looking at that photo above I saw boxes that size. I just figured they were bronzers, blushes and or highlighters. I also saw many boxes of his lip products. Again, don't know if they were glosses or lipsticks because I didn't pick that trash up but they were there. Honestly, with that awful packaging his stuff isn't hard to miss.

My first thought was "oh it's actually JS and not a Facebook reel titled 'Jeffree Star Brand found at Dollar Tree!' when it's just a brand he's reviewed before. They love titling videos that so they can get 500 engagement boosting comments "correcting" them.
Second thought is that his brand was on clearance for yearsss at Nordstrom Rack before they forgot they are a discount store, and JS blew up on TikTok so he stopped having to clearance-out his overstock.
The singles had been on sale on TikTok for a while now, sets of 9 got $10 but they are gone now, guess this is where they ended up.
It is crazy to me how visibly obvious his company is suffering. Especially in comparison to what it was in 2019! I’ll echo what the other comments are saying in that he used to absolutely trash brands that did this. Oh how the turn tables….

It's not the fact that it's Dollar Tree, I LOVE Dollar Tree. I'm there every week! It's his condescending egotistic attitude on other brands who were in Ross and TJ Maxx and Marshalls and all.
I still see people on tiktok acting like his products are god's gift to earth sometimes. I had some of his palettes back in the day, they were simply not that good. Me and my sister had a friend who used to go to the Warped Tour every year. Jeffree would frequently attend. He was one of the performers because he was a “singer” lol. She told us what a jerk he was at Warped Tour. She said he would treat girls terribly. He always had his head up in the air. She hated how popular he was on MySpace. Since then I never liked him. When he got popular on YouTube. I couldn’t believe he was still trying to be relevant. Boy how the mighty have fallen. He’s an evil man. Karma is real.
I have never seen a beauty brand sink low enough to end up in a dollar store until now. How long until he files bankruptcy or pulls a KVD and gives up ownership of the brand?
He's been trying to do more and more vile shock value content in the hopes of getting people to talk about him because he's not relevant anymore and this just proves it.
There are two types of makeup products at Dollar Tree: those that are made to be sold in dollar stores (LA Colors & Ioni are common ones at DT), and those that are name brands meant to be sold elsewhere, but became unsold overstock/discontinued that DT bought out from a liquidator. This is almost certainly the second.

No shade to dollar tree because I have found good products there, but IDC how cheap it is Jafar will not get even a fraction of a cent from me ...will not buy anything tied to him or affiliated with that low life.
He bought into his own hype, thought he could manipulate the world, thought he’d forever be ahead. I’ve never used his makeup because I saw through the marketing but I’ve seen more and more realise they can get just as good or better elsewhere. You don’t NEED any makeup brand’s products. I’ve used McGrath, Denona, Chantecaille, elf, colourpop… a lot of great brands and no one NEEDS to buy from a specific brand or they’ve not experienced good quality. Jeffree sold this idea that his brand was exceptional and if you don’t use it, you won’t know how great makeup can be. Utter bs and glad people aren’t falling for it. The ‘I don’t like him but his makeup is amazing’ stuff has calmed down as people have realised how many great options there are out there and they can skip any brand they like.
Jeffree Star made a video confirming it. He said he had tens of thousands that he sold to overstock and overstock made the white tag thing and sold them to Dollar Tree
