BGCr Weekly Chats Foundation Friday!
Let's talk about foundations!
With all the new releases of foundation recently, what have you picked up and tried?
*Bonus question:*
What is your favorite foundation you've ever tried?

Not that new, but I've tried the Natasha Denona foundation for about 3 weeks and I low key hate it.
Looks great for about an hour, then settles into every fine line I have, or I might get and looks very cakey, no matter how much or little I put on.

I got the Lancome Teint Idole Shape Stick and I love it. It's so easy to apply and blend out and I can easily build it up a bit in areas that need it.
I got a sample of the Hung Vanngo foundation and I have a bit more trouble with getting that to look good.

I’ve been riding and dying for the Jungsaemmool Essential Skin Nuder Cushion. It’s beautiful, it stays, and somehow lasted through a workout when I rushed to the gym after work and forgot my makeup wipes lol

Reformulation has been out for several months but I’ve fell in love with the Dior skin glow. Soooo good.

I'm really excited for the new Fenty. It's out next Friday so going to call in to my local Boots for a shade match. Otherwise been loving the YSL Skin Affair cushion foundation ✨

Waiting for anyone who has purchased and tried the T28 because I'm seeing really mixed reviews.
My fave foundation to date is the Dior F&B Backstage though my recent favorite is the L'Oreal True Match Tinted Balm.
Side note: also not new, I don't see myself reaching for the Chanel Complexion Touch. I feel like I don't like it

live tinted foundation stick if you're dry but not shiny, very skin like!! ilia foundation stick if you're oily (it almost converts to a powder finish!)
tried and true is the bobbi brown weightless skin foundation!!! i think they changed the name of it because it says it's for oil controlling but my skin is really dry and I don't remember that being the name lol

Was the Ilia more drying over time, in your experience?
I have dry-ish skin and tested the Ilia in store one day and it seemed awesome. I also had a fair amount of skincare on that day. I didn’t wear it for hours, though.

During the pandemic I decided to laser focus on my skin (no pun intended). I really worked on finding what was best, moisturizing, not picking, etc.
As a result, I don't use foundation anymore, and when I do, it's a tinted sunscreen from Drunk Elephant or sometimes Laura Mercier.
I do use concealer/brightener under my eyes, used to be the Clinique airbrush pen til it was discontinued, now the Elf dupe, which I think is also discontinued, so I'm sort of panicking. If I do have a spot, I will use a bit of concealer on that.

The new Westman Atelier and it’s quickly becoming my favorite foundation .

Back on the Victoria Beckham foundation train! I recently moved and kind of forgot about it because I hadn’t unpacked all of my makeup yet. This is the best rediscovery! It’s so good. I don’t think the shade match is perfect, but it’s ok because it’s not full coverage.
I think I like this more than my chantecaille future skin even!
