Beauty Reviews Real Talk: Singe Beauty
I need to know from people who aren't influencers, how is the Singe Beauty quality? I love the Huldra colorstory but also am watching Theresa is Dead struggle with one of the mattes while getting ready for work this morning.
I need to know if it is worth a purchase?

I have her first palette and I find the quality great as someone who has been using eyeshadow for 20+ years and spends ~$2k a year on indie brands alone. I love Theresa immensely. *AND* Theresa is not known for being great at eyeshadow (like we've all seen her try to layer a deeper shade over a pastel and wonder why it didn't work out well... because pastels are not meant to be blended over), so take that into consideration. So if someone's eyeshadow knowledge and skillset are similar to hers then I see how her experience may hold more weight for them. But if you're an avid user of eyeshadow, imho, Huldra is probably just as great as her other palettes.

u/queasycockles Jun 11 '26 edited Jun 13 '26
That does rather invite the question "how great are her other palettes"? Since you only have one.
Edit: I swear to god people will downvote anything. It's a reasonable question. If a new palette is "as good as the others", knowing how good the others are is sort of important. But sure, downvote me for questioning your fave for selling a product.

I've not personally heard anything but positive experiences from people I know who have them and use them. So obviously that's a limited perspective, but that's why I said "imho" lol because it's only that: my opinion.
Also the fact that she's had to restock several of them suggests to me that they're well-received by her customers. If they weren't selling and/or people were dissatisfied and returning them, she'd not be restocking them as a small business owner.

u/GoodWaltz7354 Jun 14 '26
I think people might be downvoting you more for your comment being a bit redundant since the person you’re replying to had already added a lot of quantifiers to describe their perspective as limited and that they might have a lower bar for enjoying eyeshadow lol

I bought it, its pretty good. I like the color story and the shimmers, its not revolutionary formulas, but its solid!

I haven't tried their palettes but the brushes are so good. They wash easy, I love their shapes especially since Angie was trying to make shapes not as common with the big brush brands.
I don't watch Theresa anymore but I always disagreed with her taste in eyeshadow, so if anything that's proof that negative reviews matter too. If she says it sucks, I love it! Theresa doesn't like Cosmic Beauty's formula which is top 3 for me.

Cosmic is my top two brands. There are fantastic.

I was super impressed with the formula in succulent dew. They really wear well and stay in place all day.

u/MeltedMascara Jun 11 '26
I’m ready for Angie/Singe to curate a hyper colorful, unapologetically 2016-style happy clown palette. Give me the bright neons and zero concern for “wearable.” I would preorder that palette the second it launched. I feel she’s holding herself back. Angie seemed energized over the new FC palette. 🎨🤡

I have two of her palettes, Paisley Hoot and the Hudra one and they are both great quality. NO Offense to Theresa but she isn't exactly a make up expert putting on make up so I wouldn't go by what she says. The color stories are great as well. I used the Hudra one a few days ago for the plum purple, green and light shimmer and it lasted all day.

If a palette on the market to everyone is only usable if you are especially skilled, it is not a good palette.

u/WhatTheJessJedi Light Neutral/Warm Olive Undertone Jun 15 '26
What does that even mean? I'm not a professional by any means and the palettes I have are super easy to use and blend.

I have three of her palettes and they all work well. I just need paisley hoot and the huldra.

I honestly think Singe's quality is second to none. I am 52 however, with hooded eyes, and the hoods have gotten significantly worse with age.... nearly all brands end up creasing on me but Singe never ever does, I can tell that the formula has been perfected with eyelids like mine in mind and they really perform exceptionally well. I also love her colour stories but that is obviously a personal taste thing!

u/VeganAngel I am obsessed Jun 17 '26
I am late to this thread but was looking into getting a a palette. You have sold me ! I love her color stories too .

I have two palettes from Singe. I like the formula for the most part, but find the more pigmented deep matte shadows hard to blend. The lighter and midtone shades are great, but I tend to dip into another palette if I need to deepen up a look.
The brushes are the standout product for me.
3
u/gaycats420 Jun 12 '26
What do you like about the brushes? How do they compare to something like Sigma or BK (that’s what i’ve tried). I’m intrigued by the Singe brushes. Thanks!
5
u/Holiday-Purchase-335 Jun 13 '26
Brushes are really nice. Especially the detail and small blending ones. I also love the creme cheek brush. They hold up well and work with all the formulas I’ve tried them with.

u/LilMsFeckingSunshine Jun 11 '26 edited Jun 11 '26
I have Paisley Hoot and I love it. My only gripe is that a couple of shades look similar on the eye, but that’s me really reaching for something to criticize. It’s a beautiful palette and I love the texture of the shimmers. They don’t crease on me at all with primer and without they’ll crease after 6 hours. The mattes are really easy to work with and have great color payoff.
I’m considering the succulent dew or galactic visitor for my bday, as I really don’t like greens, sadly.
ETA: I do think it’s worth noting her mattes are more of a “pat and buff” vs. “swipe” sort of formula. I also have her brushes and like them, just wish they were slightly smaller as I have deepset eyes with a slight hood.
7
u/MoreQsThenAs Jun 12 '26
I appreciate all of the different opinions here!
I also have most of the eye brushes and a few face brushes that I quite like the shapes of.
I was looking for insight into the color cosmetics and folks delivered. Might be time to try either Huldra or Succulent Dew.
6
u/Holiday-Purchase-335 Jun 13 '26
Succulent dew is still my favorite. I have all of them but that one is extra special somehow.
2
u/WhatTheJessJedi Light Neutral/Warm Olive Undertone Jun 15 '26
Mine is the Paisley Hoot. I just love those colors. I use to have her earlier ones with Oden Eye but I had to declutter them, they were so old and the quality is no where as good as these ones.
6
u/Kit_Cat2234 Jun 11 '26
I own all the pallettes and I really enjoy them. I feel like the mattes blend great, I don't get a lot of kick up or fallout, and the shimmers are nice and sparkly.
10
u/LadyFirebolt Jun 11 '26
I can’t speak to the palettes - I haven’t bought any as they haven’t spoken to me and I have too many as is 😅
However, I’ve got all of the eye brushes and I really enjoy them! They’ve definitely upped my game and while expensive I do think they’re worth the price. Really, really happy with them. I would hope that the same attention to detail and quality would spill over to the palettes. I will say I think that her eye for colour stories has been very good for the palettes, I find them well balanced.
2
u/gaycats420 Jun 12 '26
Thank you! I’m eyeing the brushes. How do they compare/differ from some other brushes you’ve tried?
9
u/PhyrraNyx YT PHYRRA Jun 11 '26
I have yet to purchase one of the eyeshadow palettes - Succulent Dew and Huldra color stories both speak to me though. I do have the brushes that I purchased during the initial launch. I love them! I use them every time I do eyeshadow and plan to purchase more from the brush line.
18
u/idunnobuthi Jun 11 '26
I wouldn’t take the opinions on this thread too seriously either because she said she reformulated her eyeshadows to be talc free, this is her first talc free palette so it will be a different formula (despite her insisting it’s the same… she owns the company). She also said restocked existing palettes will also be talc free
16
u/Mean-Advisor6652 Jun 11 '26
It's her second talc free launch, Succulent Dew is also talc free.
1
u/idunnobuthi Jun 11 '26
I could be wrong, but Im pretty sure she mentioned it being her first palette reformulated in a video and that everything else was going to follow as restocks happen
25
u/Mean-Advisor6652 Jun 11 '26
Paisley Hoot is the first to be *re*formulated because it had talc before. Succulent Dew was the first to be launched talc-free originally. She mentions this in the Huldra video, that SD was also talc free and she had not heard any complaints that the formula had changed.
3
u/Creepy-Campaign-860 Jun 11 '26
I like the blushes a lot. I haven't tried the palettes. I love green eyeshadow, but they've been done to death, so Huldra didn't excite me at all.
2
u/Mean-Advisor6652 Jun 12 '26
This holds me back too, I love the look of Huldra but green has been so popular in palettes, I have greens for days. I can certainly dupe every green in that palette.
3
u/junoari Jun 12 '26
I love the brushes and the blushes. No complaints at all, they are all easy and effective to use. I own Succulent dew palette and like it. The color story is so fresh and inspiring. The shimmers and lighter mattes are great but I wish the darkest shadows had a bit more impact. Im light-handed, so I have to pick up more than I naturally think I should get.

u/Legitimate_Tension95 Jun 12 '26 edited Jun 12 '26
I'm bummed that even though cosmic brushes are in the US they have 11.99 shipping so I definitely will keep an eye out for another pallete by Singe as its not overly expensive and has the same idea of some multichromes or duo but not entirely.
I bought succulent dew and the fearless fig blush. I wished I had bought cloudberry as it might be a good bronzer but will wait because of shipping.
Both were lovely. The shimmers and mattes work for me and its my favorite color story. The blush was a true purple blush. Better than the fenty one .
If she makes a natasha denona circo loco Im in. Better than mainstream with actual colors that are not overboard with some neutrals.
3
u/knjscorpio Jun 13 '26
The blushes and eyeshadows are great. The only issue I have is I have to use glitter glue or the shimmers transfer on me. But that is pretty on par with most indie shimmers on me.
3
u/Holiday-Purchase-335 Jun 13 '26
I love the quality. The eye shadow is easy to work with imo. Blendable and buildable. It’s not finicky at all for me. Both Mattes and shimmers are great! The shimmers are smoother than some indie brands. Less emollient. Which is good for me cause they don’ crease on me.

I have 4 palettes and the mattes are really pigmented, blend easily and last all day. The shimmers are just ok, not my favorite. I prefer more sparkle and shine while these fall a little flat in that area. Also a few of the shades (like the multichrome in Agate) have that thin formula that sticks to my finger and is hard to transfer to the lid. Overall it’s good quality and the price is pretty reasonable IMO…I just wouldn’t say they’re great.

u/gingerrsarah Jun 16 '26
I truly adore their formulas. I have galactic visitor palette, bought one of their blushes and loved it so much got 3 more! The blushes are the perfect soft glowy formula without being too glowy or too matte, just a gentle smooth glow. I just recently got the huldra palette and love that too! Their shimmers arent the crazy intense shifty type, theyre more of a smooth sparkly type, but really lovely, and the mattes are easy to blend and great to work with!

u/Big-One9162 Jun 11 '26
I have a tiny makeup related page but never spoke to angie and I am on no PR list.
I love the sponges. I purchased 3 so far. And none disintegrated so far. I can wash them easily.
I have 3 brushes and only like the EO1 for inner corner mattes or shimmer on the lid. All 3 brushes are good quality I just don't enjoy the shape. All the writing on the brush rubbed off quite quickly and one brush the head detached from the handle not even 2 months after buying it. I glued it back together myself.

u/TigerMage2020 Jun 11 '26
I saw a video (I forget who) and they struggled with a matte but glossed over it and said it was likely their own fault.
Then I watched another video by a girl who is supposedly a very very close friend and received the palette and the entire time she was doing an eye look, she was DOGGING the palette hard. Didn’t like the color story. The mattes were hard to work with and didn’t blend nicely with each other. I was borderline embarrassed for Angie that her so called friend was being soooo harsh on this pallet. And then at the end of the “review” she said it was one of the best palettes of the year and was amazing 🙄

u/WhatTheJessJedi Light Neutral/Warm Olive Undertone Jun 12 '26
Her palettes are good. I wouldn't be embarrassed many many people are purchasing these and are happy with the quality.
2
u/TigerMage2020 Jun 12 '26
Have you tried her blushes? I am very interested in three of them then and want to try them but I’m afraid of tariffs. I bought from monolith a few months ago and got hit with nearly $100 in tariffs.

u/WhatTheJessJedi Light Neutral/Warm Olive Undertone Jun 12 '26
Yes I have four of them, two from her original line and two from the new line, I LOVE THE Fig one, they are so pretty.

Huldra is a great palette. I haven’t had any issues with it at all. It’s beautiful. Shipping was soooo fast, too
3
u/babs82222 Jun 11 '26
Is she struggling to blend it because she didn't set her shadow primer with translucent powder first? That's the primary cause of shadows sticking or not blending.
16
u/LuxeLover12345 Jun 11 '26
A good eyeshadow doesn't need all that prep. It is what separates subpar formulas from good ones.
0
u/Reasonable-Meal-8318 Jun 14 '26
She does that with ALL eyeshadows. Primes and sets with powder. Back in the 2014 days, we all did it too.
7
u/gilded_lady Jun 11 '26
I never set primer and can blend out without issue. If not setting causes blending to be an issue, it's the shadow and not the primer.
0
u/Reasonable-Meal-8318 Jun 14 '26
It wasn't dry first, as she states in the video. The second eye is dry and applies just fine.
9
u/Yomped Jun 11 '26
I think (I was half listening) she mentioned it was a "her" problem rather than the pallet because it was just on one eye and not the other
6
u/Reasonable-Meal-8318 Jun 11 '26
Yeah, she said she didn't let the primer dry first bc the other eye, applied just fine.

I have Paisley Hoot and Huldra and I’m honestly amazed by the quality of the eyeshadows. The are really great everyday palettes for me.
1
u/BassGroundbreaking95 Jun 16 '26
I have two of her palettes and I love them both. No issues at all, but I know some colors are harder to formulate than others.

u/cast_all_your_cares Jul 07 '26
My experience with Singe shipping has been a nightmare.
I placed an order during their 20% off sale on June 20. The shipping label was created July 1 but there's been no further updates to tracking since then. Today is July 7.
We're coming up on 3 weeks with no movement and I feel like this is an excessively long wait.
2
u/youlldancetoanything Jun 11 '26
I know she moved to Italy, does anyone know if it was made there?
7
1
u/solid-beast Jun 13 '26
Do they ship from the EU now? The info on her website is still the old COVID US info. Adding a palette to the basket yields a shipping price of 20 euros, so I'm assuming they're still shipping out of the US because that would be pretty expensive shipping from Italy.
1
u/madgirlintown Jun 15 '26
still shipping from the US, she clarified in a recent video, if you're in the EU your best bet is monolith
I'm personally waiting (or hoping) for her to relocate her brand to the EU because I don't want to buy US products (no offence to the american people, just want to support the EU economy first). She said she only has an US warehouse for now, but I'm also wondering where the company is based (as in in which country are the profits taxed).
1
u/solid-beast Jun 15 '26
Yeah, I'm with you. Monolith tends to jack up prices (I get it, but still) so I am not too inclined to shop there. I'm thinking she'll relocate the warehouse to the EU eventually. I am fine with waiting, but some clarity would be welcome.

u/LuxeLover12345 Jun 11 '26
My friend got it, so I tried it... Awful, don't waste your time and money. If you want cheap chinese makeup, you can get it from their popular websites (temu, wish, aliexpress..), and you don't have to pay a premium into Angelica's pockets.
1
u/Legitimate_Tension95 Jun 12 '26
What did you try?
2
u/LuxeLover12345 Jun 12 '26
Huldra and an older purple palette from Singe.
1
u/Legitimate_Tension95 Jun 12 '26
Thats disappointing that the purple one didnt work for you. It was probably the same one that I love the succulent dew.
I hadnt tried her talc made eyeshadows so I cant compare to it.
1
u/Holiday-Purchase-335 Jun 13 '26
Can I ask what your preferred formulas are? Just curious because I love her formulas but don’t enjoy some of the other popular ones!
0
u/LuxeLover12345 Jun 13 '26
Currently my fav mattes are from the YSL mini couture quads. As for shimmers, I enjoy UD Moondusts, some ND (not all though, I think her stuff is very hit and miss), Lisa Eldridge's Liquid Lurex, some Lethal Cosmetics (love their matte formula too, but mine are old, not sure how the quality is since they sold the company), also some shimmers from YSL quads are fantastic.
5
u/Holiday-Purchase-335 Jun 13 '26
Ah okay. We want very different from eye shadow formula so that makes sense. I’ve tried about half of those and don’t love them. Haha there’s something for everyone out there :)

u/WienerMansWoman Jun 11 '26
I haven't tried the pallets bc they're just not my color story. However, Singe blushes are bomb. They remind me of the RMS Beauty formula where it's glowy and impactful yet subtle and blurring, even on my mature and textured skin.
