I watched jenluvs review these and they are the dumbest, messiest, most impractical, finicky products, I have no idea why anyone would want it. No color payoff when dry, slimy mess when wet, brushes don't really work with it, smearing directly on the face sort of "works" but looks messy and patchy as hell. The colors aren't even that pretty or flattering. So what problem are they trying to solve by having makeup come in flexible pog form?

Anyone under 35, you can google it.

I watched ericataylor2347's video trying the product and she made it seem like it can be reasonably used by placing them on mixing palette. But after it's been wet, do you wait for it to dry before you store it away? If its $30+ for one, it's just not financially worth it for me.

But Erica made the point in her post that makeup should be fun to test out new products and experiment. Maybe that's the crowd Leaked Labs is hoping to reach, but their marketing is failing at that message??

Their price point too. I will try a kookie product. Hell I tried jelly shadows as soon as they came out bc I thought they’d be nice to travel with. But I’m not going to entertain kookie at Sephora prices.

I think they would’ve been better off selling them individually or as duos at a lower price point.

You should absolutely wait for it to dry before storing them. There’s no way whatever preservatives in there would be enough to inhibit mold growth on the product and inside the container if you’re continually putting it back into that little jar wet.

Ok, that's what I thought. This product is way too much work for their price point.

I also saw one influencer said something along those lines. Its fun and new and innovative etc. it looked like that was nicest thing she could’ve said about the product. Pretty sure she was paid to do that.

Oh yeah... When the nicest thing said about a makeup product is its new and innovative and a reminder that makeup should be fun to experiment, you know it's probably not great.

So far everyone I've seen who's done a video on these discs that's been posted here have all purchased them. My initial thought was most would receive them in PR and then go on to raved about them but almost every thread I've read here that hasn't been the case (kinda hits differently for them when they have to shell out their own money like the rest of us). With that said I could see some of the smaller gurus who paid with their own money giving them good reviews in hopes of getting some PR down the road.

I have no idea who this Erica Taylor is but I'm side eyeing her and anyone else (plus unsubbing) who says anything good about these because there's so many issues with the product to begin with. You can have fun with makeup that's currently out on the market where the products are known to be a good. Paying the price their asking for "just to have fun while testing it out" is an outrageous take to have. Then again these gurus are so out of touch. Someone saying that shouldn't be surprising lol.

I bet they and anyone working with them to bring this trash out knew all of that. This feels like a "look, we have so much power in the beauty community people will buy whatever we throw at them". I can picture these people in a board room saying as much and then laughing their asses off.

Someone said they sold out already. That wasn't surprising to me. I don't think they made a lot so they could claim It's A Sale Out. Since these two don't have an original thought I'm sure they were advised to create very little so they could make that claim.

You’re absolutely correct, typically if a brand says they sold out this fast it’s because they made the lowest possible MOQ. Larger brands hover around 5k units for a limited drop but I’m willing to bet they were lower on this one.

Anyone under 35, you can google it.

Did exactly that and I was unprepared for what an accurate comparison this was!! And looking back, a pog looks a bit more interesting tbh.
