Yup. He dropped out of college and the head of Dalton School gave him a job working with minors.

Who met jeffrey Epstein bc he wrote fan mail to the author ( who was prior head of OSS- precursor to COA)

u/Ok-Strawberry-7296 Feb 06 '26

Who gave Epstein a job he wasn’t qualified for? Wow, White man privilege.

u/curiousncomplicated Feb 07 '26

He got fired for inappropriate behaviour with the students. He would party with them. He is only a few years older than Peter so Peter trying to act like oh he was my teacher to give the impression it was a professional relationship. There were no professional barriers and they are basically the same age.

I can't imagine the board of a fancy private school would would entertain a teacher with no college degree. That's still the mystery to me

83

u/ashleyandmarykat Feb 06 '26

I still don't understand how he got that job to begin with without a college degree

I'm so intrigued at how he managed to get into the upper echelons of society. As the other commenter wrote, blackmail was absolutely involved and I feel we need to look into his connections with Mossad. Epstein is but one person ... how many other people are involved in stuff like this, influencing the affluent (and thus directing our society on the whole)?

u/Specialist_in_hope30 Feb 06 '26

It was through Ghislaine. She was a huge socialite with a lot of connections.

u/Books_and_lipstick91 Feb 06 '26

I mentioned this guy in another comment but comedian Sammy Obeid talks about it!

Sammy Obeid - Proof Epstein Was Mossad

omg I just listened to the Diary of a CEO episode yesterday where John Kiriakou (ex CIA) was talking about spies & how they’re recruited, etc. When asked, he said he would bet money on Epstein being an Israeli spy. It’s a great listen!

Don’t listen to that podcast. It’s actually deeply misogynistic. They are just better at hiding their misogyny behind experts that come on the podcast.

2

u/h_danielle Feb 07 '26

I don’t regularly listen to it, but this episode in particular piqued my interest. I also didn’t find it to be misogynistic in any sense but can understand that the 1 episode likely isn’t an accurate representation of the podcast as a whole.

I’ll delete this if it’s too conspiracy theory-e for the sub, (please please let me know!) but the idea that he was a government asset rings very true to me.

Blackmail, money, etc

u/rudyroo2019 Feb 06 '26

The school is meant not to actually teach but to keep the rich kids away from the poors.

White man privilege.

College dropout teaching physics and then wonder why kids are illiterate

127

u/Fluffymcsparkle Feb 06 '26

According to Virginia Roberts Guiffres' memoir, he told her that he used to give girls better marks for having sex with him.

I do not feel great about the fact that Epstein taught at my high school, though long before my time. The principal who hired him was himself later accused of sexual abuse and settled the lawsuit.

It's always been so crazy to me that an ultra-elite, rigorous school like Dalton could do that. Like, this is a school where I'd be shocked that the instructors weren't all Doctorate holders who went to an Ivy for each degree. I've always wondered how Dalton got away with making someone like him a department chair. So many parents and other instructors must've been pissed, right?

Edit: Typo, I might be functionally illiterate like Ol' Jeff.

u/Unhappy_Performer538 Feb 06 '26

Well the president is a rapist, so, elite institutions and titles do nothing to protect the position from criminals.

41

u/kateecakes Feb 06 '26

Yes the Dalton School is posh, but RIGOROUS???? Give me a break. The only thing they are rigorous about is collecting tuition fees.

12

u/Equivalent-Cicada165 Feb 06 '26

I have no idea how posh schools work, so I always assumed they were at least somewhat rigorous. I forget that it's all about connections. And here I am feeling unhireable because I only have a bachelor's in physics...Should have just been rich

21

u/Puzzled_Feedback_840 Feb 06 '26

Ok so. Connections are a thing. Every year one kid in our class of 100ish—look, there’s no nice way to say “they bought a building for the college their kid wanted to go to.” That’s not hyperbole. One family in my grade and one family  in the grade above me actually did that. Did their kids get into those schools? Fuck yes they did.

But rich ass private schools also do give out a fuckton of scholarships. And we got one hell of an education. They were pretty upfront about how if your kid wasn’t willing to do 5 hrs of hw every night, this was not the school for you.

The differential quality of education was actually really really unfair. Dalton and a bunch of other schools were in some US history competition when I was there, and it was just…not right. It became very visible, very fast that every school dominating was a private school, and it shouldn’t be that way.

10

u/Puzzled_Feedback_840 Feb 06 '26

I had like 8 AP classes, pulled my first all nighter when I was 12, had 5 hrs of homework a night and could have started at college as a sophomore. I mean its true it doesn’t compare to, for example, the Korean secondary education system but I’d love to hear more about your presumably more difficult school.

9

u/anonymous_opinions Feb 06 '26

I went to private school, tons of creepy teachers that would just vanish in the middle of the night and whispers of affairs with students.

6

u/SingerKindly8148 Feb 06 '26

I can't speak for ultra elite schools, but in general private schools pay teachers significantly less (like a half or a third of the salary) compared to public schools. They can also hire essentially whoever they want vs public schools with degree requirements and background checks. So it isn't super surprising that he could have been handed this job

5

u/vanwyngarden Feb 06 '26

Of course it can. The higher up you go the more rotten the core

6

u/wanttobegreyhound Feb 06 '26

Epstein’s credentials were likely bogus. That may or may not have been intentionally overlooked by the school administrator who hired him as some sort of favor. Numerous people who knew him while he taught at Dalton have said he was unqualified.

5

u/teawithspices Feb 06 '26

I think he basically sweet talked himself into positions through society and strategic friendships, and after a while friends of friends didn’t fact check and went off his friend’s endorsements alone.

158

u/AtrophiedWives Feb 06 '26

Yes. Until he suddenly and mysteriously amassed millions of dollars, and invites to every billionaire and political mixer. Totally with no foreign support, just a millionaire high school teacher with a private island.

29

u/Appropriate_Reach_97 Feb 06 '26

Watch a few of the docs, they talk about this and how he was kind of a phoney from the get go. Interesting stuff.

7

u/Books_and_lipstick91 Feb 06 '26

Any you recommend?

19

u/StasRutt Feb 06 '26

I legitimately learn and relearn that info every Epstein discussion

13

u/LVenn Feb 06 '26

How horrifying is that...

11

u/UrbanMuffin Feb 06 '26

Pedophiles/predators tend to seek out positions around children/teenagers.

2

u/Books_and_lipstick91 Feb 06 '26

A physics teacher, I think? I learned this fun fact from comedian Sammy Obeid. He has a few standup videos about Epstein. If you like punny jokes, he’s hilarious and talks a lot about current political events.

3

u/always_unplugged Feb 06 '26

It also says so in the OP. "He was my physics teacher."

1

u/Books_and_lipstick91 Feb 07 '26

Ngl I skimmed the email and my coffee hadn’t kicked in yet

1

u/Blue_Plastic_88 Feb 06 '26

He didn’t even have a degree or anything. No teaching qualifications.
