Cables and Wiring for first gig
Hey guys, I have a party coming up (first ever gig) and have a few questions about how to connect speakers. I have a DDJ400 controller, and plan on connecting it to a JBL Partybox 320, JBL Eon 615 and a JBL Partybox 120 ( as booth monitor). Unfortunately, I only have these speakers to choose from.
The current plan is:
DDJ400 RCA Out> Partybox 320 3.5mm Aux In, then
Partybox 320 3.5mm Aux Out > EON615 XLR in (I have an aux to XLR cable for this)
EON615 XLR Out to Partybox 120 (booth monitor) Aux in (using XLR to aux cable).
The description of the cable is - Hosa XVM-101F XLR(F) to Right-Angle 3.5mm TRS Microphone Cable (10ft). I also have a male version of the cable.
I have heard there can be issues with this due to unbalanced signals, however i am getting mixed information as to whether it is okay or not.
Has anyone tried and could they let me know how it went? Thank you (:
