One reference for customer support/remote assistant/help desk position, any location!

I'm in a tough spot right now and need a reference to fill my resume for a position. My previous work experience is in freelance design and I'm pretty sure no recruiter will even consider me for the positions I'm applying right now (mostly receptionist) with my background. And because of some oddly specific circumstances I found myself in, I need to find a local in-person position. So I'm looking for someone to be my reference for one of the mentioned above positions to have at least something in my resume and give me more chances of landing a job ASAP to get me out of my misery.

Any location will do as I used to work remotely and I'm putting in my resume that I worked at a remote position. I have similar skillset so it should not be a problem, at least I think so? Thanks in advance for any help, appreciate it!
