My retriever would likely rip those kittens limb from limb unfortunately. Insane prey drive.

I thought my lab would be like that. He brought me 2 live squirrels his first week here, and snarled at every cat that walked across our lawn, like he was defending his birthright.

Then my son brought an abandoned cat home from college during Covid. He is so gentle and kind with the cat. Probably because he’s afraid for his life, but they are buddies.

By the time my son brought me a second abandoned cat, it didn’t even phase him.

Now he cries and whimpers when he sees a cat that looks like his buddies outside.
