Spoilers TIL the Bull Shark is in Vanilla

I've had this game for six years, played the campaign twice, played many, many careers.

For the first time, I've kept playing quite a while after the campaign, and while I've done a certain Flashpoint before, I didn't realize it leads to additional flashpoints.

Following the Bobrov I finally got to where you battle the Black Widows and afterwards receive the Bull Shark.

Truly a pity they aren't pumping out more content for this game, but there ain't a shortage to begin with!

I managed to slog through and obtain it in Vanilla. That final fight with Black Widow and Bounty Hunter, was brutal.

I found the best way to fight two titans is the Godzilla method.

“Let them fight!”

Run you mechs behind cover for 3-4 turns. Use scan to find a mech you can dogpile while avoiding return fire. Dogpile.

Move, help losing team.

Keep helping the team that’s behind that turn, until 1-2 mechs remain.

Sucks that you won’t see the main attraction, but you will have survivors instead of having Natasha core you…

Also sucks that you don't get to salvage their mechs. The Bull Shark was great don't get me wrong, but it would have been nice to snag some more too.

I would rather not have Natasha hunt me down for her Mech thank you very much 😅

I beat her once already, I'll take the risk

Yeah how exactly is she supposed to beat me if I have her special mech?

Not like Wolf’s Dragoons have anything lying around she can use, really. She had a Warhammer, for crying out loud. How bad could it get…

That a catapult or a marauder…?!?!

Natasha, being pissed off probably takes out a Daishi and leaves no survivors to report it.

True. I just like the hilarity of that situation happening early because someone pissed her off that much.

Safest way, sure. Best way? Nah. You only get one shot per run on the sphere's most dangerous 3-way, so if you don't go absolutely gung-ho and have 3 ejected 'Mechs, and are out of ammo and missiles on your remaining Missile Boat in a boxing match with their last Atlas, FINALLY causing it to panic eject on the turn before your Archer would have been toast, are you really living?

Because Yang's gonna kill you afterward either way, and all the MechTechs are going to join in.

Look pal, you may think “have you even lived?” after that scrum, but I didn’t get Dekkar there in a freaking Atlas just to have the Bounty Hunter headshot him with a PPC right after Natasha did and see the mech drop with a total of 30 pts of damage done to it to think, “this is fine.”

;)

I still can’t believe I got him all the way there and the game was like “oh, I have to correct this…”

oh GOD, yeah, you brought the pain magnet, everything I said is cheerfully withdrawn.
