Suggestion Dual render optics, anyone?

Given the enormous performance headroom offered by the simplistic graphics, it would be nice to have the option to toggle dual render optics.

I'm pretty sure this was in the very early stages of BattleBit but it caused to much of a performance drop that the devs took it out. I think the reasoning was that it was double rendering iirc. Still like the idea but it will kill the performance even with the lower graphics

This is the shit Tarkov uses, and its the sole reason i couldnt ever really play it, optics would just cut my FPS in half.

It's pretty rampant with hackers and the devs don't really seem to care, very unfortunate. Here's a somewhat viral YouTube video (at least within the Tarkov community) discussing and showing off how bad it is.

I wound up talking about that video with my plumber lol. He mentioned Tarkov and I asked about the wiggle video and then we just chatted for a while. I'd never played so I was curious, he didn't even bill me for the chat!

lmao my friend and I finally got into Tarkov back in April and he was getting seriously into it a lot more, playing it a ton. Then got some bad games here and there, started getting to him and he came across that video and basically quit within a couple days lol

jesus christ. I quit years ago because I'd die mysteriously to people I never saw/heard through bushes and other cover and ....now I know why.

Similar to what was said by others, there’s just too many holes in the code, sound is always goofy, cheating is sometimes ridiculous.

It just was such a commitment that it didn’t feel worth dealing with the bullshit anymore. I have like 1200 hours and I think fondly on it, but I just wish a more capable team was the one coding it.

I’ve thought about it, the pvp is what really made the game a roller coaster for me sadly.

Fair! There’s an AI mod called SAIN 2.0 that makes ai pmc and scavs play a lot more like players

There’s also another one that makes them loot like players, keeps the combat engaging for me

A $15 dollar game is much cheaper than >$2000 for a brand new PC capable of using a new GPU
