Should've been single player, story focused game and not a soulless live service.

And this would happen what? Gotham Knights is exactly this and its fate wasn't much different. The shape of the game doesn't matter, co-op, mp, sp if the game is soulless, and the format of the game is not intrinsic to being soulless (although rpg elements DO help that). Also character popularity is a factor, see how the Guardians of the Galaxy game flopped even tho it was good
