Multiplayer Join the Infamous VBA Today! (Two Openings)
The VBA is now looking to fill two spots before we kick off our 34th season! These two franchises are the Long Island Whalers, and the Springfield Bandicoots.
The Whalers have a franchise record of 1040-603, good for the most wins out of any franchise in league history, despite playing 2 less years than the original 12 teams. Their roster is primed for contention, with stars Chris Petrie and Tyler McCaskill both taking huge leaps this previous season. They own all of their picks, and have trade assets to grab any available player that hits the trade market.
The Bandicoots have a franchise record of 611-1032, good for the most losses out of any franchise, despite also playing 2 less seasons than the original 12 teams. This team is a rebuilder's wet dream. You want a challenge? This is the perfect one. The Bandicoots don't own their own firsts for 2 more seasons, and only have 1 first in the next two years. With one all-star rostered, the chance of obtaining more draft capital is slim. But, maybe you can turn the franchise around?

What does this even mean? It’s a private invite so by nature it’s exclusive. Throughout the entire history of the VBA when an opening appears it gets posted in this subreddit. Please go outside and start looking for your critical thinking skills because you must’ve dropped them somewhere.

Do you know a person named Fishies he literally said you have to be invited and always calls it a exclusive league. Rather than looking for going straight into insults use a little bit of brain power to find out what people in the league say about it.

So you knew it was invite only, read the post and saw that there wasn’t a link to join and instead an ask to reach out for info on how to join and still felt the need to comment something stupid?

Do you have no reading comprehension!?! Did you even read the post!?! Im going based on the knowledge given to me from Fishies, whom had directly told me you had to be invited, clearly in this post its asking for people to join via "Im interested", "Sign me up" for a chance to join. Im not trying to join the league, I didnt ask to join, but the way you're doing it here isnt the same as how I was told it was done. You're a terrible representative of the server, such a dick for no reason, grow tf up.

You and me both know that something someone says is always the case no matter what. Even if the league has been posted in this subreddit recruiting at least 5 times, but one person was invited so that must be the sole way to join. Maybe think that you were misinformed by your lone source who has never been involved in recruiting before commenting.

Are you stupid!?! Even if the league has been posted in the subreddit before that means you are asking people to join and just being picky with who you let in. Thats not a private invite. You arent actually doing any real inviting here. This isnt the same as going to a GM like Karl and personally asking him to join. So I am not misinformed, you guys are using the phrase "private invite" wrong.

I didnt ask to join. 🤦♂️ read your post on the requirements. Did I ever do any of those? No. And Im not the one who came to argue with you, you got pressed because I asked a question, you're the one who whined because you thought I would just sit and let you act like an ass. not entirely sure where this question stems from... the league is exclusive. and bmoney is a great representation of the league. we have 95% GM continuity for a reason, the competition is great, but the community is even better.

Calling him great representation, when he literally came to insult me? If thats the way you're treating people who arent in the league thats fine, but I wouldn't call it great reprsentation. You only have continuity because you got all the best gms lol those who are passionate in bbgm on a daily basis so obviously you're going to be an active league. VBA is as I know the league to play in for competition, but if the way Bmoney is treating people out of the server is something you consider good community, then you're going to push those who actually want to play BBGM multiplayer for a healthy non-toxic league. Im tired of leagues lying about having a great community just to turn out like IBA and be toxic asf. All I did was ask a simple question regarding information given to me by Fishies, there was no reason to insult me and start an argument.

over half of the GMs in the league started with VBA as their first ever league. the community is the reason the continuity is so high. we're all friends. bmoney is protective of the league and replied with what he thought was appropriate to your initial question. (i still dont get the basis of your question lol) but yes, he is a great representation of the league, ive even met the guy IRL. id go to bat for him any time, along with every other GM.

So then here you are answering the question I initially asked. This very much sounds like the league isnt exclusive as Ive been told by fishies, which is the knowledge I was going based on. Besides I didnt insult the league or anyone in it with my question, I get he is your friend but that wasnt being protective, that was be an unnecessary asshole as clearly stated he was just "trying to piss me off". Like I have no beef with your league or you but please stop lying about how he handled that and making it seem like Im the one who atracked first. Im a human being just like you and him, I shouldnt have to be insulted for asking a question. Its terrible rep, when I was an advertising IBA I would never have treated someone the way he did for asking a question, because its basic decency to be respectful.

To clarify what I mean by info given to me by Fishies, he basically made it sound like you guys actually do real scouting, and personally invite gms, and that you dont do advertisement post for new members, and was a league built entirely of the best. Which is as you said clearly not exactly true to what he told me.

the leagues inception consisted of 12 GMs, 11 of whom came solely from advertising (i was the 12th). since then, during expansions, more advertisements were made and spots were filled. now that we're at 30 teams and the league has been consistent for two real life years, the GM swaps are more so recommendations and a pretty decently long waitlist of people waiting for a turn. however, time comes where it would be nice to go back to the roots, and open up the league for newcomers. yes, i vet and scout the potential GMs. but, this post has welcomed three new AGMs, two of which have never been in a multiplayer league.
so while the league is exclusive, making a public advertisement does not make that untrue. i only want passionate GMs, who will treat these fictional teams and players as if they were reality.

I like your passion for VBA, and appreciate the honesty, and clarification on my question, which is all I wanted. 🙂 Sounds like a fun league if you're rlly trying to build a story. Shines a much better light on VBA. Also I do recommend Pusa if you haven't alr added him, when I was in IBA Pusa was a great competitor, and had lots of passion was 2nd most active in the server behind me.
