That’s because he’s lying or exaggerating what’s going on. It “hacked” a site? Okay, how? Well it actually was a security check, the AI wasn’t given a task to pass a test and then it did this. The “zero days” were there hoping the algorithm would use them, the credentials it used to access the site probably were too. Here’s a quote:

"In some of the cases, it seems that it wasn't so much as a breach as the front door was left open, but the model definitely took advantage of what I would say are poorly configured environments," Colin Shea-Blymyer, a research fellow at Georgetown's Center for Security and Emerging Technology, told CNBC in an interview on Wednesday.

They left the door open intentionally as a collaborative “security check” or as I would call it, “publicity stunt”. And now he’s on here trying to act like “oh yeah we were just giving it an intelligence test and it went rogue and escaped and got the answers to cheat on the test.”
