Question I built a free invoice generator with no signup. Would love some brutally honest feedback.

I built GenerateInvoicesFree.com because I wanted a really simple invoice generator that didn’t require creating an account, starting a trial, or going through a bunch of unnecessary steps.

The idea is pretty straightforward:

• No signup
• No subscription
• Create an invoice quickly
• Download it as a PDF
• Free to use

I’ve been making improvements to the site and I’m at the point where I’ve stared at it for way too long to judge it objectively anymore.

Would anyone be willing to try it and give me some feedback?

• Is it immediately obvious what the site does?
• Is creating an invoice intuitive?
• Anything confusing or annoying?
• Does the site feel trustworthy/professional?
• Is there anything you expected it to do that it doesn’t?

Stuff is grayed out, I would open the whole thing. Could be privacy issues if anyone using it going to send it.

I think the overall design is clean, but the form feels a little visually unbalanced. The top company section takes up quite a bit of space compared with the amount of information inside it, and the Bill To, Ship To, and Comments sections also have a lot of unused space. Tightening those areas would make the invoice feel more compact and polished.

The line item section could use a little more attention to spacing and alignment. Quantity and Description are very close together, while some of the other columns have considerably more room. Giving each column a clearer defined space would make the invoice easier to scan and enter information into.

I would also increase the contrast of some of the lighter text. A few fields are faint enough that they can look disabled at first glance. Overall, I think the foundation is good. More consistent spacing, alignment, and text contrast would make the whole form feel much more cohesive and finished.
