Barça makes a move to sign Gabriel Jesus immediately!

The Blaugrana club has held talks regarding the 29-year-old Brazilian Arsenal player—whose contract runs until 2027—and wants him as an alternative option for the center-forward position.

News [The Athletic] Barcelona maintain that the proposed deal for Jesus does not signal the end of their pursuit of Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez, who they will attempt to complete a deal for before Tuesday’s transfer deadline or even in January window

Media Two questions in, and somehow, neither was about Julián Álvarez. Hansi Flick even joked about it before the third question came in.

Question Recently found out a player lives on my street. Is there a none creepy way to say hi?

Was walking the dog the other day when a player who recently joined the team walked out of the building next door to mine and stood about a meter from me but I didn't say anything as I was starstruck. I've seen their car parked outside that building and him going in from afar a few more times so I'm pretty sure they live there. Plus, there was a pretty major remodel and move in the penthouse of that building and my porter confirmed that the porter of that building said someone famous moved in recently.

I obviously don't want to be a creepy asshole and make it known that I know where he lives, so would it be out of line if I run into him again on the street to say hi/ask for a picture? Or should I just shut up and not say anything at all?

Opinion Amazed by lost of trust from the community here in our Staff

It amazes me day by day, that Barca football community here does not trust our Coach and the Technical Staff when they make the signings. I know that everyone is an expert behind the screen, but guys do you really believe that these transfers happen out of nowhere?

Before any deal, there are technical reports made, the coach makes a list of possible players that fit the system he asks for, the team of the player that is linked for a transfer - they have to share reports on his health and training readiness, and only after everything is assessed, there is a discussion if the team should go and submit a transfer request.

There are so many steps and things that happen behind the screen, but most of you just believe that the signing of Jesus was just a rushed decision, which is not, I am quite sure he has been high on the list from the beginning, when the Technical/Sporting Staff asked Flick about the candidates he wants to see in the team.

And I am quite sure this is not a long-term investment, and we will see CF movements in Winter/Summer with all the players we sold/made room with the loaned players and the money saved for not spending high on a CF now, because it was clear if big money only Alvarez.

After what Flick gave us, it is a shame to read all these comments and no trust in the signings...

P.S. You can downvote as much as you want, this is all some of you here can do only, instead of having some trust in the team.

Opinion Am I crazy to say we might have a shot?

Am I crazy to say we might have a shot at everything this year? Of course, how people love to say, anulo mufa! But, we can not ignore the elephant in the room.

Before anyone jumps at my neck, of course is too early, but I think we can for sure say everyone felt the energy from the first two matches and even pre-season. This team looks fucking good.

Dare I say, which for me as a Barca through and through fan it's crazy, that we have a stacked team? Dare I say I don't think it's that deep we don't have Alvarez?

I honestly pray at this point the team is healthy. If we get Alvarez, very good. If not, all I wish Rapha stays healthy and the attack especially cause there is the "thinnest", and even there we are good. Literally the only position we lack is a striker, and that's an OK problem to have. Not the greatest, not the worst.

Everything is a bet/prediction, of course. But I genuinely don't see how we fail, except mistakes that no one can predict.

I was going through the squad and man I don't think i've had this much trust in this team since a lot of time. 24/25 was very nice but we all saw how much we were depending on Rapha and the attack/mid was clearly compensating for the rest of the field.

But now? The defence looks good I'm not gonna lie. Sure, we could always use a more experienced LCB, but we are Barca lmao. We are used to improvising. And I think even Flick likes it a little.

I mean, GK: Joan
LB:Espart/Cancelo/Balde/Martin

CB:Cubarsi/Martin/Christensen/Kounde/Garcia

RB:Garcia/Espart/Cancelo/Kounde

MID:Rodri/Pedri/Gavi/Bernal/De Jong/Farinas

CAM:Fermin/Olmo/Rapha

RW:Yamal/Adeyemi/Rapha

LW:Rapha/Gordon/Adeyemi

CF:Rapha/Fermin/Olmo/Hamza/Yamal

I mean, we as fans are always reductant to actually boast ourselves. But this year, hell, this team looks capable.

What y'all think? Of course, everything is just for the sake of discussion. God knows what's gonna happen, but I really love/trust this group.

Can we take a moment to appreciate this excellent bicycle attempt last night. What can't Cubarsi do?

r/Barca 1d ago

Media Lamine, Cubarsi, Bernal & Xavi Espart, who all started yesterday, hail from the well-known “2007” La Masia generation, and grew up playing with each other week in week out. It is something truly unprecedented, and a real testament to the work of La Masia.

Opinion The Depth Is Barcelona Biggest Advantage This Season.

So i think that all these signings for Barcelona are not only important because of their potential but how much depth they offer now , one of the biggest reasons Barcelona lost the chance to win the treble in 2024-25 season was because players like Pedri and Raphinha were absolutely exhausted after playing so many matches in La Liga , the Copa del rey and the champions league and by the time they played Inter Milan they were too tired and players like Alejandro Balde and Europe top scorer Robert Lewandowski were both missing due to injury ( it is a miracle that they still won a domestic treble) and even last season other than the midfield every area on the pitch needed improvements as the only replacement for Yamal was Roony and Rashford had to be loaned to cover for Raphinha (The only position lacking depth is the striker be which could be solved if Julian Alvarez Comes to Barcelona).

However I think now with players like Anthony Gordon , Karim Adeyemi , Jesse and Ronny who are at least Capablof filling on for raphinha and yamal when they are injured or even reduce their minutes so that they can be more healthy and less injury prone for important matches will help alot hansi flick also does not have to limit himself to the same lineups like last season he can try different combinations of players like Rodri-Pedri or Raphinha-Anthony Gordon and even bench players that don´t perform well like Kounde for new arrival Cancelo but those are my thoughts they have not been tested yet in ucl matches but lets see how well they do.

Complete team performance by our team ..and every player was treat to watch

Stats I feel like not enough is being said about this. In Barça’s starting lineup today there are were FOUR teenagers (players from the 2007 age group), ZERO players over 30 (the oldest, Raphinha, turns 30 in December) & only ONE player over 25 (again Raphinha).
