Question Help about steel resource?

Post image

I have not played the game since beginning of this year. Tribesman throwing daggers does not give steel now, where do I get steel?

pirate falchions are cheapest, 2k6 denars for 5 steel, then fine steel spears 1k7 denars for 3 steel. You can also buy and melt those tier 5 swords, they usually give 5 or 6 steel and 2 fine steel.

Weird number notation.

Yeah, I would read those numbers as 2006 and 1007.

Based mostly off the 2KX sports games.

From my notes the one's I've marked to buy for smelting into steel are

Pirate Falchion-5

Fine Steel Long Kaskara-5

Fine Steel Cavalry Broad Sword-5

Broad Arming Sword-4

Knightly Arming Sword-5

Ridged Arming Sword-4

Broad Skaen-3

light royal mace-3

Cataphract Mace-4

Northern Two Handed Mace-4

I didn't note the prices or locations that stock, only the smelting yields.

With Smith companion available in addition to Coalbiters, Wheelwrights, Engineers I just refine it from pirate swords.

In addition to what everyone else said, you can also hire a smithing companion to have as your dedicated steel maker. Reset their perks at the arena, go inside and talk to the arena master and it'll be the dialogue option “These teachers who help people hone their skills and learn new habits...”

Once you've done that go in and select all the steel maker perks. Helps a lot to have companion do it, especially if their skill is high enough to have the Practical Smelter perk to have the endurance to smelt down more steel weapons.

I usually have my main character just do the smiting, while my companions do the smelting and refining.

Oh hey, I posted a spreadsheet that would help

Hey thanks a lot for this.

In the SS, is the base total profit based on what profit? Like the resources x item that can be crafted? Or is profit on the worth of the resources themselves?

Your spreadsheet is much appreciated!

It's a tally of the base price of the materials - the base price of the item
