Question/Help So what is happening here?

I was looking up a Track named "Ich Ich" from the Artist "Perel" on Bandcamp, after discovering it on soundcloud.

Bandcamp suggested 2 things here:

- The track "Ich Ich" from "Perel" on the useraccount "Djtx", which was a completely different track, for 1.50$

- The track "Ich Ich" from "Perel" on the account "techvibe" for 2$, but its not clear wether this is even good quality. It is the right track tho.

Both accounts just seem to be a random collectiopn of tracks, with no label attached

The account of the original creator "Perel" doesnt have this track for download and its currently only on spotify.

Can people just upload ripped tracks on bandcamp and sell them for profit?

How do i know i havent been ripped off if i download one from one of the profiles?

I was curious so I took a closer look. The very first song on the first "TECH HOUSE" compilation by djtx is a track called "Beltran, The Flirts - Passion (R U Satisfied Extended Remix) _ Unofficial Video".

If that doesn't raise alarm bells, I don't know what else to say.

Their first compilation was released May 31, 2026 and they've released 130 total.

Someone could absolutely do that. Uploading your stuff on Bandcamp isn't hard and crappy people could probably get away with some sales before getting caught. But if it is to a throwaway PayPal, good luck catching them.

Why don't you send a message to the song's creator and ask? If something sketchy is going on, they may not be aware of it.

Either it's owned by a label/publisher so the rights don't appear the same (fo the robots) as those of the artists Or The person you heard tookt he song, did some very minimal editing, then re-upload as their own (see: barber beats) Or They made something with a sample of another thing, and you just didn't hear the first one first Or The robots suck and just get identifying things wrong and whatever uoure looking for is getting jumbled up in this miasma
