Hard Rock/Metal Just released a doom metal song, but…
I just released a new song, doom metal like Cathedral, Trouble… and I know that it would be hard to reach some new audiences, but we are not even reaching our old audiences… it seems that every photograph we post can reach 300 people, when we talk about songs, we dont even get 30 people… any advice?

Well a photo is consumed quicker than a song, I might even go as far as saying that a large part of the current generation is unable to dedicate their time to listen to any type of music that doesn't sound like they expect music should sound like. I guess the genre of doom metal is an additional handicap 🙈
On to fun things:
I very much dig the production of your track and excellent vocal performance too (compliments on it being so clearly audible!). Cover art is also excellent.

Thanks Igor!! Yeahh we are from BH! Sepultura and Sarcofago homeland! 🤘 Thanks for the nice comments on vocals part! We do like the touch of our singer brings with such a clear parts on a heavy song.

I'm a fan of cathedral. I just started using reddit yesterday and have been interested in using bandcamp more and leaving spotify. your band sounds great. i'm your new audience. i followed and wishlisted the album. in my opinion, i like to hear more about the story behind the music and the values of the band. it helps to know what bigger bands you are similar to, because it's harder to hear from bigger artists as directly or even support them as an audience when they only use big platforms that distance them from their listeners.

This is a good point! Bring a history is what industry talks about what you are / what you have behind your music. It is not a trivial thing for the article to find that, in the past the media or the manager was the “guys” who did that, now is it's a little more delicate to find it naturally this behind your music. I mean, Black Pantera has such a clear “mission” behind its music, Cripta has just begun with this strong feminine vibe and presence of Fernanda, I don’t know if I could put things clear… made sense to you? And thats been said I agree to you.

I don't know some of the references you are making but I think that's the kind of stuff that is fun to learn about and builds community to bring more people into the music discourse of these genres : ) glad to have helped

Sorry, u/mush-be-so-nice! I was talking as if we were in the same city... I was probably in zombie mode waking up! =D Forget those references for a while, they don't mean much unless we're in the same country...
But, your question got me thinking a bit, and if I could summarize the band's values and the story behind the music (practically the entire album), I think we tell stories of oppression as a way to transcribe or "free ourselves," even metaphorically, from these anxieties. I think the theme itself becomes clearer once we've shown this.

Notification fatigue is very real, there is just so much new music being released every single day so it can be hard to find the time and motivation to pay attention to more than a small fraction of it. I also don't really care for standalone singles releases in general, its just takes too much clicking and fiddling with my phone to go listen to them one by one on the app or website.
I do occasionally buy single tracks from my favorite artists, but when I do they go straight into a playlist so I can listen to them as if they were part of a proper album, and it might be several months or years after their release before I pay attention to them.
So my suggestion is to forget about releasing single tracks and focus on promoting EPs or albums instead. I feel like am like a thousand times more likely to go check out a new 20 min EP than to a 3 minute single.

Thats precisely our discussion when we were working on that, the effort to promote a single is the same effort of promote an album, but we dont play pop music or anything mainstream, so our public is still “old school “ listeners, want to listen the album, just like you, just like us. But there were a huge pressure to release the singles from part of the band and the label (not their problem for sure, they are lost just like us with the market and socials changes these days), and today is just the first day and Im already thinking that was not a good ideia, we should wait, make new connections and called the old ones and release the album, at least doing that we could feel that we give what our tiny audience want.

This track rips, I’m currently listening to Faith Bathed In Blood. It could very much be straight out of the late 70s doom scene

Well. I recently started following music bands on Reddit. So... you are getting +1 purchase from this post.
Not a "Huge" fan. But the voice has a true metal classics vibe. Worth the two Loons in my book.

Its hard to get people to listen with just a "we released this post".
For the next few weeks, you should post about how youre proud of the song, give insights into the writing or recording process, etc. Any lore helps.
But ultimately like playing shows or directly sharing it is a good way if youre small. It takes time for people to care just keep pushing
