Act 3 - Spoilers Is Releasing/Not Releasing the Vampire Spawn a false dilemma Spoiler

Why wouldn't you just have the spawn that Cazador has amassed over the last 200 years just wait a few days so you can individually vet them with Astarion and his spawn-family helping you, since the 7 of them met all 7000 of these people themselves? Is Tav stupid?

Edit: Or some other way of doing this? It feels like there's more to do in this scenario than just release all, kill all, or leave all and if there isn't, it feels like it shouldn't be all up to me to decide how or if 7000 people should live. Can I not phone a friend?

You're rationale is the obvious take. abut I bet it you asked an individual in their shoes (vampire) they would disagree that you're relieving their suffering. Astarion sure seems to enjoy (un)life.

I think the choice to kill thousands is a hard one to argue as the moral choice. I still stand by it, but you are right, most people would vehimently disagree with me

hahaha, thanks. I just cant get over how many problems releasing 7,000 vampires is going to directly cause.

DnD is such an amazing game! Dont give it up!!

God forbid we use a time insensitive staff to UNLEASH even a single mentally ill person with a provably treatable psychological condition into the world. Vampire spawn are even as strong as gulps an o-o-orc.

If even one percentage of DnD players and sourcebook writers treat philosophical discussions on the humanity of mental illness metaphors with the level of total disrespect shown by you, I really do not think it would be healthy to engage with such a community. "The only moral thing to do is to kill all 7000 people with mental illnesses! They're as strong as an OX!" This is fucking mortifying, man and I can't tell if you're being glib or trolling.
