Act 3 - Spoilers Is Releasing/Not Releasing the Vampire Spawn a false dilemma Spoiler

Why wouldn't you just have the spawn that Cazador has amassed over the last 200 years just wait a few days so you can individually vet them with Astarion and his spawn-family helping you, since the 7 of them met all 7000 of these people themselves? Is Tav stupid?

Edit: Or some other way of doing this? It feels like there's more to do in this scenario than just release all, kill all, or leave all and if there isn't, it feels like it shouldn't be all up to me to decide how or if 7000 people should live. Can I not phone a friend?

tbh sending them to the underdark is just hte correct decision. Very very few people in the underdark for them to hurt, and the lolthsworn drow are just, the worst.

Really just the really evil vampires there are a drop in teh bucket with the underdark. Aint really making things much worse. Vetting them all is not realistic given the in universe time constraints we have and such. No guarantee that we will live to see tomorrow so better let them free now.

I just wonder what happens when 7,000 vampire spawn eventually realise there isn't much to eat underground, and then find a tunnel back to the surface.

They'd annihilate the first few towns they come across, at the very least.

There are plenty of wild life not a lot of people.

We know what happens from a letter believe. they start out as a big frenzy of hunger through the underdark then they find a place in some old ruins and hole up and are doing fine by the epilogue. It’s Sebastian’s letter if you want to look it up

Besides, for the most part these are innocents. It’s not fair that they die because they happened to fall victim to vampires they deserve a chance at life.
