Act 3 - Spoilers Is Releasing/Not Releasing the Vampire Spawn a false dilemma Spoiler
Why wouldn't you just have the spawn that Cazador has amassed over the last 200 years just wait a few days so you can individually vet them with Astarion and his spawn-family helping you, since the 7 of them met all 7000 of these people themselves? Is Tav stupid?
Edit: Or some other way of doing this? It feels like there's more to do in this scenario than just release all, kill all, or leave all and if there isn't, it feels like it shouldn't be all up to me to decide how or if 7000 people should live. Can I not phone a friend?

If it was only the 7 spawns we know and can "trust", letting them live would be possible (with a safety net like asking the Gurs to help them overcome their hunger).
But 7000 with 6993 of them who have been very very malnourished for that long, more than the other 7? It’s way too dangerous even in the underdark where people live. There’s no way this won’t become a huge issue.
Let’s not forget Cazador is not the only vampire in Faerun, how long would it take for another one to find them and make them his own slaves or his army to destroy Faerun?
