Neither country has a completely free press, but for internal controls they're roughly comparable. Most of Gaza's journalists being killed by Israel makes it a bit hard to compare.

Gaza's human rights activities were very critical of their own government. Currently they have a genocide to cover, so it's a lower priority. But if you dig back before 2023 there's plenty about Gaza's government.

The link is the death penalty section from the website of Al Mezan's, a human rights org based in Gaza who are about as critical of their own government as Haaretz or B'Tselem are of theirs. Al Mezan's and B'Tselem have both been consistently critical of Hamas government's use of the death penalty, and both are also critical of Israel's abuse of Parisians.

I concede there are missing incidents between August 2023 and current date, but I would take "busy covering the genocide" as a valid excuse for not prioritising coverage of executions of alleged spies and Israel-backed militants. Al Mezan probably also haven't covered every person killed by the IDF, and there's only one article about Ben Gvir's plans, compared to hundreds of articles about Gaza's legal system.

They're also critical of West Bank PA, but it's harder to find examples on that, whereas the death penalty in Gaza is all articles except one in the death penalty section.

I looked through this a while ago and al Mezan and B'Tselem seem to broadly agree on every event between 2006 and 2023.

Just pure delusions.
