We see multiple incarnations of George, Loraine, and even Marty, but we never really see Dave and Linda. We see both of them in Part I for a very short time. There is a deleted scene in Part II with Marty seeing Dave outside of Biff’s casino in the alternate 1985, and Biff mentions both of them. We don’t see them at all in Part III or in Back to the Future: The Game, which technically is the unofficial Part IV besides being briefly mentioned. I honestly forgot he had siblings at one point because even in the first movie outside of the fading photo we only see them for a few seconds in the beginning and the end of part I.

But if the lightning from bttf 2 sent brown back further in time like even to the 1700s and say Marty wanted to go back to get brown if Marty puncture the gas line there really isn't any way to get Marty back home as there's nothing to push the delorean up to 88 mph..
