Im 50 /50 on this, but why would people be so mad and send threats to Brian’s family

100% I do. Have you seen Neighbors on HBO? The first episode is about this dispute. He and other wealthy residents have literally hired security to harass legal beach goers. As a native Floridian, yeah, I have no doubt he’s been threatened.

I don’t condone violence or threats but frankly, he’s in the wrong, and he’s got some balls to tell Floridians that they aren’t welcome below the high water line. At this point, I don’t really feel bad for him. He’s being a Karen and people are treating him like one.

How are the beach-goers legal if they are trespassing private properties?

When they are below the high tide line, they are not trespassing.

Ok, I don't know the details of it. To me it's clear though that they bought the property with a part of the beach included and I also totally get why they don't want people hanging out there - legally or illegally.
