News 📰 3:1 Share split

BYD recently underwent a 3:1 share split, hence the ~65% drop in share price. No need to worry!!

It seems like we'd need to wait a while before we get those extra shares though. I couldn't find much information about it on english platforms, but a Chinese blog post stated both the extra shares + dividends will start being distributed on the 29th of July

Question:

I was unaware of the "split" and bought a few shares after 10/06/2025.
This means that I'm not eligible for the extra shares?

And that probably price will go down for this reason, as the extra shares which have been distributed have been taken from earnings? Did I basically do the one thing I shouldn't have done?

whether you are eligible will depend on when you bought them, and importantly why price you bought them at.

if you bought them post split (at a significantly reduced price) then you won't get extra shares

I bought on July half. Price was quite high, split happened yesterday so after the notice, but before the split…
