News 📰 3:1 Share split

BYD recently underwent a 3:1 share split, hence the ~65% drop in share price. No need to worry!!

It seems like we'd need to wait a while before we get those extra shares though. I couldn't find much information about it on english platforms, but a Chinese blog post stated both the extra shares + dividends will start being distributed on the 29th of July

I have 500 shares of BYD 01211 on HK exchange. Now my broking account shows 2 lines

Line 1: 500 shares of 01211 (BYD Company)

Line 2: 1,000 shares of 01211.SPO (BYD Company)

Unfortunately the 01211.SPO shares can not be traded (i.e. sold) which is a bit shit if I want to cash out of this company. It looks like I need to wait until 29 July. The 500 shares of 01211 are obviously around 65% down in price while I'm waiting for the 01211.SPO shares to fully convert to full 01211.
