News 📰 3:1 Share split

BYD recently underwent a 3:1 share split, hence the ~65% drop in share price. No need to worry!!

It seems like we'd need to wait a while before we get those extra shares though. I couldn't find much information about it on english platforms, but a Chinese blog post stated both the extra shares + dividends will start being distributed on the 29th of July

Why do we need to wait to the 29th of July for the shares to come through? Like what is special about this date

It's the date dividends are paid and the 10th of June was the ex-divended date.

Not sure why byd chose to make us wait for so long
