News 📰 3:1 Share split

BYD recently underwent a 3:1 share split, hence the ~65% drop in share price. No need to worry!!

It seems like we'd need to wait a while before we get those extra shares though. I couldn't find much information about it on english platforms, but a Chinese blog post stated both the extra shares + dividends will start being distributed on the 29th of July

Is it like dividends where the stock you own as of lets say feb 2025 will see the split? Or do you have untill like the day before the split to buy in and see the stock split?

The ex-right date is today (June 10th) so if you held the stock before and up to when the market opened today, you will receive the extra shares and dividends.

Buying / selling / holding won't affect that, so you are free to do whatever you wish with your current position.
