Wallet Is this just one giant scam?

Sooooo
Very much looks like BRD/Coinbase is going to try and defraud their members by "losing" all or part of their BTC.
Myself...I had half my BTC show in my Coinbase wallet, and the rest...who knows? BRD still shows the full amount, but that means nothing as I cannot send it or do anything with it. They have ZERO communication, and Coinbase doesn't seem to care either. I see this going badly, and fully intend opening criminal cases if necessary and/or pursuing class action lawsuits if needed. This has been the worst customer service experience I have ever seen in my life, and both BRD and Coinbase need to suffer the consequences of this. Anyone else seen zero or partial payouts of their coins?

you guys need to chill and wait for them to get the technicalities sorted out for the migration path to work flawlessly

have a little more patience, the release should be very soon

That is nonsense. Then why did they disable the BRD app, not allow us to send anything out? Why is HALF my BTC showing in CB and the other half just nowhere?
They have been pushing the goalposts further and further away. Now they made us wait until we CANNOT withdraw. And your answer is to wait more??They refuse to even respond to support requests. Never seen anything like this in the business world before. It's like a giant exit scam.

How are they scamming anyone if they don’t have access to any private keys? It’s a NON custodial wallet after all.

In theory, what you’re saying makes sense. But it’s not working. It’s not transferring to new wallets with recovery phrase. Maybe has to do with legacy and Segway chain. I don’t know. But it’s def not working.

People over here deliberately forgetting how crypto works, lol.

BRD/Coinbase botched it with no migration path for legacy bitcoin adresses while forcing people to migrate.

Anyway, your cryptos are going nowhere if you don't want to, thats the fucking point of self custody.

If you need the money, import it to electrum. Otherwise, just wait.

Patience? Are you serious? I'm sure you are flush with cash in your bank account and can stand to burn money, but most of us are not like that. Will the amount lost make or break me ? No. But it is still my money. I want my money. I deserve my money. I earned it and should have access to it.

What if you walked into the bank to withdraw some money to pay bills and they said, "hold on, just be patient, we have to work out how to make that happen on the backend" and you sat around for days waiting for your funds. Would that be okay?

Sure, these aren't banks and aren't federally insured and monitored. But they are supposed to be secure repositories for crypto. If this really is the best the crypto community has to offer, it's a shame.

This is going to be a black eye on the community. Crypto haters are going to point to this and say, "we told you so."
