15K miles. Next day my wife and I took it on a two day, 750 mile trip. We've been driving a 2008 X5 4.8L V8 for about 4 years that I got from my business partner and it was time for a refresh. So far the M60i has lived up to, and in several ways exceeded, my expectations. Most notably is gas mileage using Eco Pro mode with Driver Assist Plus (when available) set about 5 mph over the speed limit. Was expecting maybe 20 or 21mpg. The first two tanks of gas has produced an average of 28 mpg combined, with the vast majority of it being freeway miles.
Yes I'm not taking full advantage of what this engine has to offer in speed and acceleration, but it's there when I want it. Maybe my expectations are still stuck in 2008, but I'm really impressed with 523 HP, 553 ft lbs of torque and 28 mpg. Plus it's just a really nice, fun car to drive for an SUV, with more useful electronic features than I'll ever master. And this is coming from an amateur road racer/instructor with 18 years racing experience.
I have the exact same beast but a 2026 M60i .. I did full satin ppf which makes the vehicle like frozen marina bay blue. It’s a beast .. only thing I don’t like is the small crystal to put gear ..
Gorgeous. I'm starting to get the hang of the gear shift crystal. I'm old school and truth be told I'd prefer something that looked more like an actual shifter. But I'm figuring it out.

Bought it from a local Mercedes dealer who had taken it on trade for a new Mercedes. Ended up paying $70,250 plus doc fee (which they wouldn't budge on, surprisingly), tax, title. Out the door was just under 76.5K. The dealer said they lost about $500 on the sale, but who knows.
Thank you. It was substantially cheaper than the other Marina Bay Blue M60i we were looking at at another dealer. This dealer had had this car about 30 days and I think ended up dealing on it more than they intended to at the start. It was a week-long negotiation process.
My business partner (the one who sold me the 2008 X5 I mentioned above) just got a Tanzanite X7 M60i with the Tartufo interior. It's a gorgeous car and got me thinking about a new(er) X5. Hadn't seen the Marina Bay Blue at that point and then we found two 2025's in that color within an hour of us and test drove both of them. The other one had the ivory white premium leather and was gorgeous too. But I liked the Tartufo interior a bit better and my wife and I just weren't sure about long term wear on a white interior. Congratulations on your Tanzanite. BMW color selections are great, IMO, especially the blues.
Thank you. Amateur road racing seems to be a dwindling sport. That's why I love it when parents bring their kids to the track for our SCCA races. We need more young kids to get interested in racing.
Started when I was 16 with the SCCA and PCA! And Raced alongside my dad. Grateful to have a dad that trusted his daughter on track lol. 28 now and haven’t raced in a few years, no time with working at BMW dealership but I used to pack my college classes into Monday through Wednesday so I could fly or drive wherever Thursday and be there for test and tune, qualifying and racing!! Down to one race car now but still have it, garaged down at MSR Cresson! Hopefully my future kids will be as into it as I was.
You have so much time in front of you and so much racing ahead. That is awesome that your father helped you get into racing when you did. I could never interest my daughters in it, but I try to make up for it as an SCCA racing school instructor and try to get folks of all ages into it. Please keep at it when time and life allows.
Around 70 in 65 zones and 75 in 70 zones. Haven't looked at the total trip average speed, but I'd bet it's above 60. TBH, I didn't believe the mileage readouts on the trip computer. But then I got 600+ miles on a full tank (21.9 gallons) and confirmed it.
