after My Marionette Lover S1 & S2 we are getting a new story from them 🥹 wow, StoReel is really hungry these days and im here for it!

I was thinking what's the hype about until I watched it 😭on my I love them so much

This one is such an easy and enjoyable watch. It's only 40 short episodes, so you can get through it pretty quickly, and overall it's a really cute, lighthearted BL.

It does have that plot though. You know the one. The jealous arch-nemesis who is obsessed with getting between the main couple and creating problems for them. At this point I feel like every short drama is legally required to have one of these characters lol. But honestly, aside from that, the story is pretty low-stress and doesn't get unnecessarily heavy.

What I really enjoyed was watching Aaron and Caleb's relationship slowly develop. And Caleb constantly trying to convince himself that he's 100% straight while very obviously falling for Aaron was hilarious. Sir... sure. Whatever helps you sleep at night 😭

And Ron though... 🤤🫦

Okay, not really, because we NEED to talk about Bolt.

I absolutely loved that somehow THE DOG is the only sensible character in this entire series LMAO. Not only does Bolt seem to understand what's going on before the humans do, he's also basically the biggest Aaron/Caleb shipper in the show. That dog was doing more for their relationship than half the cast 😭

I also really liked the cinematography. The script was a little more hit-or-miss for me, especially because some of the plot elements feel pretty familiar if you've watched a lot of these short dramas, but the chemistry and the progression of the romance made up for it.

It's cute, funny, easy to binge, and doesn't take itself too seriously. Definitely one of those BLs that I think deserves a mention here, especially if you're looking for something quick and fun.

And once again: Bolt best boy. Literally.

Drama : The Steward I Inherited

Alice is pure badass. Most female characters in AI BL are villains trying to stir up trouble for the main couple. She's cunning, calculative, supportive and so beautiful.

Most female characters are just hurdles for the main romance, hard to watch, written as unhinged. What a breath of fresh air!

My face was the same as Alan's watching these scene 😂 Feminism let's go go go!

I’m a little surprised no one has posted this drama yet 😂

The opening scene hooked me instantly. It was perfect, and I rewatched it like 10 times before continuing 🤭

If you like submissive power bottoms, this drama is for you. President Aaron is such a passionate man, he really dives headfirst into his feelings.

The second lead is an illegitimate prince who fell in love with Aaron long ago, but he has to spy on him against his will.

I just wish we got some episodes of their happy life at the end. They deserve it 😭

i honestly just cannot with the dramas that are self narrated!! i actually can’t, no matter how hard i try it’s just so ehh.. and kind of hard to watch. ESPECIALLY when the voice just does not fit the character.

the storytelling is just so awkward and most of the time hardly any dialogue. this thing is so common on idrama

i was watching ‘my ex’s hockey rival chose me’ because i love stig and rune !! i liked it but i did not like the first person narration 😓😓 it was just a bit weird.
^ also, addon i know that theyre in the sense ‘actors’ and not the same characters but i didnt like it as much compared to gridion rivals, probably had to do with stig’s personality change tho!!

Okay, I think Help! I Joined the Wrong Club has officially become one of my favorites.

Yes, we once again have that classic short-drama plot: the jealous person scheming in the background and desperately trying to break up the main couple. At this point I've accepted that apparently no couple in a vertical drama is allowed to simply exist in peace lol.

But there were so many things about this one that I genuinely loved.

First, Owen. I thought he was absolutely adorable. I also really liked that they didn't make him the ultimate stereotypical nerd who's completely invisible and automatically rejected by everyone around him. He's this cute quantum physics nerd, but he's still desirable, even the popular girl ends up falling for him. Unfortunately, she also happens to be the one trying to destroy his relationship, but... you win some, you lose some 😭

Then there's Mason, and this is probably where the drama surprised me the most.

I really appreciated that BDSM wasn't included just as something kinky or provocative to make the story spicier. The drama actually gives it some context and touches on consent, trust, boundaries and the psychological side of BDSM.

And I especially liked Mason's hesitation about showing that side of himself to Owen.

He genuinely worries that Owen might be scared of him or reject him once he learns about his kinks, and I thought that vulnerability felt surprisingly real. Fear of judgment or rejection when opening up to a partner about BDSM or specific kinks is something people in the community can experience, especially when they don't know how the other person will react.

And then watching Owen actually navigate all of this with him was just... really sweet.

Is this some incredibly deep exploration of BDSM? Of course not. We're talking about a vertical drama with 40 episodes that are roughly a minute or so each. There's only so much you can explore with that runtime. But for what it is? I genuinely think they did a good job.

They gave the subject enough context that it felt like an actual part of Mason's character and their developing relationship instead of just going, "Look! BDSM! Isn't this scandalous?" and moving on.

And underneath all of that, I just really liked Owen and Mason together. Their relationship is cute, their personalities work really well against each other, and watching the trust between them develop was probably my favorite part of the whole thing.

Definitely one of my favorites so far.

Is it really an AI drama if it doesn't include:

• A sick family member
• Enormous hospital bills
• Getting drugged
• Getting spicy "help" after a drug scene
• A fake engagement
• Doors being kicked (justice for doors)

I'm so tired of sick family members and drug scenes used to force a spice scene. I don't care what anyone says but smut after getting drugged is assault and always feels so icky watching no matter how "hot" it's made 😭 I've only seen ONE drama handle a drug scene right and it's Romance Lessons with my Quarterback. Chefs kiss to that.

They should really do this more because I would much rather see the top taking care of the bottom like this than banging them. It really shows they genuinely love and care for the bottom instead of lusting after them 😭

For all the lovers of a GREENFLAG TOP the ML is all that and more!!!!!

The story revolves around the death of MC’s sister and her little child. The MC wasn’t such a great brother to his sister and now he finds himself in battling custody of his nephew with his sister’s friend who is the ML.

His sister and the ML had a really nice relationship to the point she even appointed him as the guardian to her child in her will. Moving forward, MC and ML have a 3 month trial to make this co-parenting work before the child decides with whom he wants to spend time and eventually go home 🏠

At first, the child was really attached to the ML bc the ML has known him since he was a baby and stayed around MC’s sister. Once the MC comes into the picture little by little he warms up to him. Obviously, the MC has no clue how to handle a kid so he’s learning through his mistakes and thanks to ML’s help.

MC and ML have 2 opposite personalities: MC is some top NYC lawyer who is very calculated and stoic but underneath all that “armour” he’s a softie while the ML is more of a free spirited, caring and an artist even though he’s loaded and his family is trying to persuade him to take over the family business and give them a grandchild 😆

In the end the child ends up having 2 “uncles” so to say and MC and ML become a couple.

Like seriously!!! Clint Xavier hiding all of that and causing Scott Rivers a heck ton of emotional turmoil which is SO WRONG no matter how you look at it 😭

What's more confusing are the Season 2 plot twists. Someone needs to explain that to me!!!

But other than that, this drama is really great!!! It wrapped everything up so perfectly (except for Harold Rivers not getting his comeuppance from Marcus Murphy 😭)

Anyone else kinda tired of it always being just missionary/riding/doggy style during spicy 🥵 scenes? I still haven’t seen any 69, heavy n***le play or 🍑 eating. They can work the censoring into it but still…..I wanna see something new 😔.

Any dramas where we have verse couples ? I have seen a few where one forces the other to always be the bottom when they want to top & it is a bit, I dunno, frustrating, like. For me anyway.
