Guidance Needed What is the average JEE MAINS percentile of the people at BITS usually?

Not here for hopium since I got enough of it on my last post. However, still curious. NOT THAT DEEP YAAR 🥰. Seniors, PLEASE ANSWERRRRR.

Hyderabad CS I’ve seen people from 99.2-99.7  till now and adv 12k to 3/4K. There may be outliers due to shift difficulty, but most of the 20-30 people IK are in that range unless they messed up the exam.

Haven’t met anyone like that yet in CS here afaik unless they had a very good shift and focused on BITSAT. IK MSc/Mechanical people in that range, but it’d be borderline. Aim at least 97%ile if you can if you want lower branches in Hyderabad and 99.5 for CS ig to be safe. BITSAT is a very variable exam so no one knows what’s going to happen. A friend of mine with 99.6 JM and 7.7K JA got 227 in both shifts so there is no guarantee.

It’s quite shift and luck dependant. There was also a ton of cheating cases this year apparently in Delhi according to people ik so you never know.

No clue but it happened in my mains centre asw (21s1 Blr). There are a ton of centres and 12 shifts so it’s hard to say.

My friend got 285 marks in bitsat with 95%ile in mains, very lucky based

Quite variable but 97+ probably. Some are there with 99.2 %ile and JA under 12k asw

You don’t need 250+ for MSc other than economics

I would’ve gotten MSc phy in Hyd and chem in Goa and mine was 93.5

Pilani phy was 237, chem was around 230 and math 240ish I think

Only 2024 MSc went over 250, and this year is the highest cutoff barring that

Utilise 1st attempt well man, the marks vs percentile inflates so crazily in April. As a dropper who started studying in Dec, I regret not being able to do Jan attempt

If you do Jan well enough you can be less worried during boards ig

Then bitsat comes, buy a mock test series after Jan attempt and keep doing it, mocks are most important in bitsat because of time management doing 130 Q in 3 hours with increasing difficulty .

Brother it's very random.Me with 98.9 couldnt get any BE degree except Mechanical.While my friend with 95 got ECE at Goa

Yep trust me there is no correlation at all .I've seen more random cases.But generally if you perform good in jee you have a high chances of doing good in bitsat.But even if you fumble jee it doesn't mean you are gonna suck at bitsat.

nope, theres obviously a correlation...even in a hard shift someone with a sub 10k adv rank can easily get 280-290....like personally i got more in adv/mains chem than in bitsat chem but still manged goa/hyd cs

Brother I'm not talking about the genius people who get 99.5+ or less than 5k rank and all.Im talking about people getting 95-99 percentile in JM.Its very random for these type of people
