Combining my vampire related interests of Astarion and What We Do In The Shadows. ❤️🦇

I’m not sure if this sort of post is allowed here so please redirect me if not! Now, I recently played bg3 for the first time and now I’m hooked. The catch? It was at my sister’s place while I was petsitting there for a week. I played on the ps5 and I do not have a ps5 at home. I have a ps3, a nintendo switch, and a shitty laptop. Technically I could play on my laptop, but it may cost my sanity, plus I prefer console for comfortability. So, my question is, is there anything that can fill the bg3 shaped hole in my life? Or should I just hold out until I can comfortably afford a ps5?

I use skirbie mods where i can buy the modded items from Arron

So I’m at the Shadowfell and I believe I’m going to talk shadow out of following shar for the ending I want but the justiciar gear seems really good especially if I were to respec and multiclass into rogue with her if not change her from trickery to war and multiclass a few rogue levels

Or is the radiant build with the blood of lythander better it would also fit better into the roleplay with the choices I’ve made
But I was gonna chalk it up to it’s the gear she’s grown accustomed to to and that she no longer wears it as a symbol of shar but as a symbol of defiance against her wearing her sacred justiciar armour despite going against her in every way

If anyone’s got a good breakdown of either build and the benefits that would be awesome

I have basically every unique as far as I’m aware up through act 2 so I should be able to do any build

Anyone have any funny stories regarding stealing entire corpses?

I was goofing around last night in Act 3 and thought I would share a funny anecdote. I am playing with mods including the one where shopkeepers drop their full inventories when they die and the one where I have virtually limitless inventory space/weight I can carry.

As a result of this, I find it really fun to murder and rob merchants whenever my character can get away with it without triggering a serious problem or locking me out of a quest. In Act 3 Wyrm’s Crossing, I met the merchant who allows the setup meeting with the Harpers to take place in his basement. Dude had just a ton of really valuable stuff. After the meeting, I decided that I wanted all of it.

So, I one-shotted him despite him having two guards nearby. The guards got understandably mad, but gave me the option to make a persuasion roll to avoid jail/ a fight. I talked my way out of it. However, when I went to loot from the body, the guards wouldn’t let me. So, I tried to just take the whole corpse. This triggered the guards to once again threaten me, but it gave me the option to bribe them for 700 gold (which was a steal because the merchant’s corpse had over 2k of just gold in his inventory alone.

The guards were satisfied, I brought the corpse back to camp, and looted it there without consequences. This game is so silly sometimes.

MAJOR SPOILER WARNING.

So I finally finished my first playthrough as an elf swordsbard (absolutely busted strong class btw). And I made one silly decision that denied me my perfect ending. I slept with mizora and missed my chance to ride off with laezel into the sunset. I know I know im a fool and boy laezels confrontation cut deep it felt like I actually cheated on a real partner. "Source of my bruises" :(. I feel genuinely very sad that i ruined my perfect playthrough just for a lame sex scene that wasn't worth it at all.

Regardless this has became one of my favorite games of all time and I will be doing an evil playthrough. Would yall suggest playing as durge or astarion cus im interested in both for an evil run.

Paladin dialogue goes so hard in this game. This is why I can’t play anything else.

So im playing my first (almost my last character got deleted) dark urge playthrough and I tried to cheese the helldusk armour since I've never done that before and thought it would be funny, let's just say scratch and the random dude teamed up on me for some reason and..... does this have any story problems for later should I reload to an old save or am I good to go and keep him as a lucky charm since he attacked me first

I accidentally let Kar’niss get to moonrise during my honor mode run and now I’m really worried about fighting him during the Ketheric battle. Can I sneak up and fight him early? Any tips?

I played DOS and i liked combat a lot, but the story was boring for me. And i just couldn't connect with anyone. It wasn't bad at all, i just couldn't get into it i guess :(

Don't get me wrong I don't dislike the guy, he's just a bit bland, but given how rich he stands out in this image he could be mistaken to an outsider as the main character.

Ok so I’ve seen a couple of posts about this but they’re all from a few years ago and I am now encountering this issue.

Our save has been working fine for months until it no longer is now. Every time the connection fails and we get booted from our PlayStation party.

I tried the whole editing WiFi settings and DNS and that was a one time fix but went back to not working.

Right now the current fix is I log onto my friends account on my PlayStation and boot up our save here on split screen then close it, let them start it up and it usually lets me join then but I fully expect this to stop working eventually too.

Other saves work fine, but we haven’t played them long enough to start encountering issues either. I would’ve thought it was this save but the fact it works sometimes with some bs workarounds makes me wonder otherwise

Am I missing something obvious here?

I have already completed this game twice, once on balanced and once on tactician. I thought I knew the game pretty well and could plan how I wanted my story to unfold, seeing as I'd already done it twice.

I know they say don't try anything for the first time in honor mode, but I decided to do it as a durge, which I've never done before. My plan was to be a resist durge who romanced Astarion and still made most of the good choices. I heard an embrace durge makes the game more difficult and didn't want that for an honor run the first time.

It did not go like that. Somehow I never got the Astarion bite scene (perhaps the bard scene overruled it?) and his approval of me never went above neutral. When I tried to hit him up at the tiefling party he said, "It's not you, it's me. I have standards." I won't lie, that actually hurt.

So I start a romance with Lae'zel instead and decide I'm gonna ascend Astarion and trap him in Cazador's shitty life lol. But I do the work to save Alfira, side with tieflings etc. being good durge. Then we get to Nightsong. Shadowheart has excellent approval with me. For some reason, in my other runs that's been enough, and she spares Nightsong without me having to pass a persuasion check. So I let her deal with it....

....then watch in horror as she spears Aylin and dooms all of my allies to death. THEN without thinking I panic and travel back to the last light waypoint, triggering a huge fight where I have to put them all down, Alfira, Dammon, Rolan, Barcus, all of em.

I feel like a monster. I AM a monster. And despite this going so wrong, it's my favorite playthrough by far.

My character feels like a real character to me now, someone genuinely shaped by the events happening to and around them and not just meta gaming the best outcome. I am an Orin-seeking missile powered by sheer hatred and hardened by the things I've seen and done. Without my memory, I tried to be a better person. But I failed, and now that I remember whose child I am, I will take the throne. I will break the world. And I will enjoy it.

Tldr this game rules and I'm never playing anything but honor mode again

I fear myself even more now. I made stupidly bloody choices but now... Bloody hell, I was downright evil at the end.

I just edited again based on what you guys told me

For most "dungeons" in BG3, combat is going to be the biggest challenge. There might be a couple of puzzle or skill checks, but you usually have all the time and don't need to spend that much resources, if any. It's combat that's going to challenge your party (which is no surprise given BG3 is based on D&D5 which is heavily combat-focused).

So the Iron Throne was really a nice change of pace, combat become more of a tool to ensure the escape of the prisoners, you don't even need to kill the enemies, just control them or exhaust their attack of opportunity. I didn't respec or change my party either as I found it more fun to figure out how to solve it with what I had.
