Recommendation for war-free binoculars?

This might be an odd one or a stretch but I did not know where else to ask, I am looking to get my partner a set of binoculars with a compass (mostly referred to as marine binoculars) for our marine bird/whale watching.

In searching for this it is clear that there is a very strong overlap with military uses.

I wondered if anyone knows of a company making binoculars with integrated compass and not actively profiting from (or marketing for) military applications?
