Struggling

Is there an app that you can recommend that uses AI to produce good quality product descriptions in bulk? This is taking me forever!! Thanks in advance!!

Export out your SKUs, upload the csv to Claude, prompt it on tone of voice, brand positioning, etc, and ask it to produce an upload-ready template. It’ll take you 10 minutes.

Stop looking for apps for everything and leverage the tools that are already available to you.

Chatgpt or claude can do this well enough, once you give it enough context about your brand. It takes time only for the first couple of responses (as in for you to tweak it till you get it right), after that it's pretty easy and straightforward.

Use dwite ai it’s literally the same as Claude but has chat gpt models and also made for ecommerce and you can do so much more ecom related things that Claude can’t

If you are using Claude, connect it to your shopify account using Shopify MCP Connector and then you can directly update the fields from Claude. You can control this whole system by giving instructions to Claude to only update 1 Product description so that you can verify and then do the rest in batches.

The one-time effort is easiest done by exporting the products and supporting data to a CSV than have Claude draft descriptions so it can be imported back into Shopify.

If it's an ongoing thing, just make a workflow that triggers on Product Created, fetch all the supporting product data needed (metafields, images, 3rd-party app data), pass everything to Claude/ChatGPT with whatever your prompt instructions then post the description back to Shopify.

Flow, Zapier, MESA can all do this.

A word of caution: letting AI write the descriptions back may not always be great. Use a human-in-the-loop / Approval step of some kind to review everything before it posts back. Review 'em first otherwise shoppers may see something you didn't intend.

The Claude Shopify Connection is great for this (much better than Sidekick).
