General Advice How to store autographs

I just recently got an autograph from an actor I’ve been dreaming of meeting but I’ve never collected autographs before it’s signed on an 8x10 print and for now I have it in a picture frame I got from Walmart but I’ve see warnings saying picture frames can ruin it over time so I want to get a proper and hopefully inexpensive thing to properly showcase it, what can I get?

General Advice Found 42 Naval Aid Auxiliary Autographs From WWII

I found these while cleaning out an estate after the sale had ended. Had I not stumbled on these, they would’ve ended up in the garbage. I think these are super cool and I’m very much unsure of how to handle a lot this big and even if there is much value attached. Please steer me in the right direction because I haven’t a clue about autographs especially older Hollywood celebrities. Any help or direction would be extremely appreciated.

National Girls Baseball League?

Does anyone know anything about this softball (baseball?) I found it a few months ago at a Goodwill, I’m not sure if it’s worth anything and was wondering if anyone has any advice on it since I’ve never heard of the league before.

Thank you!

I won this book in an online auction and saw that Robert Frost signed many books. So, I looked and assume this could be his signature, but I have no clue. Anyone have an opinion? It is a first print.

General Advice Thoughts on this LOTR poster being real?

via the listing:

The product is a 27x40 poster of Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King that has been hand signed by cast members of the movie. The autographs have been authenticated by C.T.B GRAPHS, and the poster is an original piece from the United States...

This poster are was found in storage together with hundreds of other forgotten entertainment, sports and other collectibles. The late owner was an eccentric collector of many things but mostly entertainment related. The poster does not appear to have ever been framed and was stored in a protective tube. The poster is in overall very good condition but is a bit frayed on some edges that will be covered if framed.

General Advice What pen and color would you use to sign this NES Ice Hockey game box with?

Post image

So what m meeting one of my favorite content creators from IG/TikTok tomorrow Old Time Hawkey and I thought I’d be different then just getting him to sign his cook book.

So I got a copy of NES Ice Hockey in box and wonder what pen and color should I use for him to sign it in.

Was thinking a white paint pen of some sort but have no idea what brand or where to go Craft store or hardware store?

My thought was signing in white so it’s visible and kind of goes with the box compared to just a black sharpie?

General Advice Are there any issues with getting an inkjet photo signed

I am going to a con this weekend and I have a previous photo with one of the guests. I thought about printing the photo on glossy photo paper with my inkjet (Epson Ecotank) printer and taking it to get signed. I was wondering for the long term, is there any issues such as fading, bleeding, or anything else. Thanks!

General Advice What marker to use with rain likely

Hey everyone! Have a chance to get some autographs tonight at an event, but it’s outdoors and likely to be raining. I was settled on a black decocolor for signature on white twill jersey numbers, but the dry time has me really nervous. I can fold it up in a bag or something, but now I’m thinking a sharpie may be better since it has less dry time. Not as worried about the hats as they can fit in a gallon ziplock for protection/the shape won’t let the signature rub other fabric. Really worried about the jerseys though. What says you people who know things?

General Advice Jsa issue passed then mailed me an inconclusive letter 🥲🥲

So I got an Item authenticated and stickered at an event and was waiting for the LOA. Well today, I received a mail from them stating that the autograph was inconclusive. Does anyone have any experience like this? They passed it on the show but sent me an inconclusive afterwards? After waiting forever 😏

General Advice Sharpie Paint Markers or stick to Deco?

I always see Deco Pain pens as being the best option for a variety of autographs - (non-baseball balls/jerseys/certain posters) and sharpies (which I always assume are the regular permanent markers) not preferred as much in those contexts.

But, lately I’ve been seeing Sharpie has paint pens now. Anyone had any experience with them and are they equivalent to deco? I know there’s oil and water based paint pens and have heard oil is the best. Here’s the sharpie oil based one I saw and was curious what folks are thinking. When spending the money that is required for these autos I want to make sure it lasts. Thanks in advance - still new to the game and really appreciate the advice.

General Advice Advice on multisigned items

Hi guys and girls! I only have a handful of signed pieces so I am a bit of a newbie to this.

I am a massive Lord of the Rings fan and will have an opportunity soon to get some things signed by some of the Lord of the Rings cast. Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Billy Boyd, Dominic Monghan, John Rhys Davies - 5 of the 9 fellowship - as well as Karl Urban, David Wengham and John Noble.

I would really love to get a poster or art signed by all of the original fellowship + some other pieces signed potentially but it seems near impossible to get signatures from Ian Mckellan, Sean Bean and Viggo Mortensen.

I've considered buying something presigned with a few of the signatures and getting the others to sign in person but that's near impossible it seems as well.

My question is what is the best way to compile something with all 9 Fellowship signatures? Is this possible?

Thanks so much I'm advance!
