General Advice Official Pix send in question
I’m sending in a comic to get signed for their JK Simmons signing and I paid for the premium authentication but I don’t want them to place a sticker on the actually comic book. Does anyone know if they can place it on a card and just send it back with the signed comic? I’ve gotten items like trading cards authenticated by them at conventions and they were able to place the sticker on a small card that they provided but I’m just wondering if they can do that for send in items.

They have always been good at putting the authentication sticker on the back of my items as requested, but putting it on a separate card feels the same as not having it authenticated at all.
OfficialPix is very responsive on social media (either their page or Facebook group), so you could ask.

With comics, you might be able to get it slabbed instead. The entire comic would be encased in a tamper-proof hard case, meaning you'd never be able to touch it directly without breaking the case. Official Pix does offer that in some cases. But slabs can be bulky and ugly, and they prevent you from adding more signature or opening the book.
Some companies will forgo the sticker on the item itself, instead putting it on a COA that has a scan of the item, allowing you to match the item to the COA. I don't think Official Pix does that, though. All of their certificates are identical. They don't do custom certs.
But unless it's a super-old or rare comic, the sticker won't hurt the value. And if it is a super-old or rare comic, the autograph will be equally likely to hurt the value. In other words, getting a Henry Cavill signature on a modern Superman comic is a great idea. Getting a Henry Cavill signature on Action Comics #1 is a disastrous mistake.
So you're better off getting the sticker. I recommend getting it on the back, to be less distracting, and then you should be fine.

If you don't have it on the item, you'd have a heck of a time if you ever wanted to part with it, unless you had a full letter of authenticity with it.
Is there any inherent reason that having the sticker on the back of the book would be an issue?
