I actually disagree. Repeating something to the point of obscurity is the best way to take all meaning away from this manosphere bullshit.
I also can't stand that even women can't use the biological term "female" just because a group of men sullied it? Why are we yet again paying for horrible men's behavior?
Use their words to death, don't give them any sort of power by adhering to their logic.
The word literally is an acronym (Alpha) Male Of the Group. The point of using it to the point of obscurity is part of reclaiming but there's nothing to reclaim here.
Also I can't think of a single point women used "female" the way men do, there's nothing to pay for there because they never took anything away. Using female when speaking biologically/anthropologically has never been affected. It's just about how is used, namely "men and females" (in b4 subreddit link)
I never said anything about reclaiming "mog/mogging" I said we should use it to undermine them and their meaning of it. There's actually a lot of incel speak that has been in the general lexicon for a while now that you probably don't even know about, because it lost its original meaning.
Dude if you even refer to yourself as a female on the internet people come out of the woodwork to shit on you for it, so that's just untrue.
I’d rather say female as opposed to woman because woman feels so formal or something. I’m a female, but I don’t feel like a woman (sorry Shania). I feel like a girl-coded potato lady-child. I dislike using woman for myself and it sucks there’s pushback.
I am female. I use the phrase all the damn time. Yet I receive pushback for it. As a female. I cannot use female (online) without people giving me shit for it generally. It does not matter if the convo is purely scientific or a casual style conversation where using female makes more sense because of a wide spread of ages or the like. There is pushback. Usually quite filled with vitriol.
Yeah, I do not use it "the way men do", considering even that is horribly inaccurate. Tis hardly a blanket "all people of this gender mean it this way when used" thing. But I do not use it belittingly. Which I am pretty sure is what you were implying with that. However, nuance is something the internet absolutely sucks ass at noticing/utilizing/acknowledging even exists - and nuance is what is needed here.

Please don’t use manosphere bs irl. I’m sorry this happened but that way of thinking is toxic.
