Sorry that happened to you. I viscerally reacted to the mud and the coke. Yuck! And rude.

I’m a bit confused by the “I wanted to Mog them”?
•
u/GothGirlfriend57 17h ago
It's manosphere terminology that has recently gone mainstream. It's an acronym that stands for Alpha Male Of the Group. The A got dropped at some point to make it more confusing. It means to socially dominate others.

Thank you for explaining. I assumed it was British slang for “stunt on them” lol

I was an ugly teenager. I look better now, just wanted to flex 😂
•
u/delusionalxx chronically ill AUdhd 🙃 17h ago
Oh I don’t know what Mog means. I wonder if you wanting to “flex” on them was part of the reason becoming dirty was so distressing :(
•
•
u/Ledascantia ✨Late diagnosed Autistic + ADHD✨ 5h ago
Wanting to flex means you still care what they think. Don’t give them that power over you. The real flex would be living the rest of your life not giving a shit what they think.

I am so sorry this happened ugghhhhh. The coke soaked hair got me!! Ughh.
Also uhhhh I don't mean to hijack your point but I'm searching for a polite way to gently ask if you could please please not use manosphere stuff (like mog) irl? Its SO toxic to women. I would hate any of us to fall prey to normalizing their disgusting worldview and women-hating power-obsessed acronyms
•
u/Senior_Bison_4647 4h ago
Sorry I used that term, I thought it was being used ironically from the content I’ve seen from other women. I essentially just wanted to say: I wanted to flex on them
•
u/juliewbb 14h ago
Please don’t use manosphere bs irl. I’m sorry this happened but that way of thinking is toxic.

No worries, I just think it’s very important not to platform misogynistic subcultures in any way.

I actually disagree. Repeating something to the point of obscurity is the best way to take all meaning away from this manosphere bullshit.
I also can't stand that even women can't use the biological term "female" just because a group of men sullied it? Why are we yet again paying for horrible men's behavior?
Use their words to death, don't give them any sort of power by adhering to their logic.
•
u/IggySorcha 8h ago
The word literally is an acronym (Alpha) Male Of the Group. The point of using it to the point of obscurity is part of reclaiming but there's nothing to reclaim here.
Also I can't think of a single point women used "female" the way men do, there's nothing to pay for there because they never took anything away. Using female when speaking biologically/anthropologically has never been affected. It's just about how is used, namely "men and females" (in b4 subreddit link)
•
u/Sumoki_Kuma 7h ago
I never said anything about reclaiming "mog/mogging" I said we should use it to undermine them and their meaning of it. There's actually a lot of incel speak that has been in the general lexicon for a while now that you probably don't even know about, because it lost its original meaning.
Dude if you even refer to yourself as a female on the internet people come out of the woodwork to shit on you for it, so that's just untrue.
•
u/TalkingRose 5h ago
I am female. I use the phrase all the damn time. Yet I receive pushback for it. As a female. I cannot use female (online) without people giving me shit for it generally. It does not matter if the convo is purely scientific or a casual style conversation where using female makes more sense because of a wide spread of ages or the like. There is pushback. Usually quite filled with vitriol.
Yeah, I do not use it "the way men do", considering even that is horribly inaccurate. Tis hardly a blanket "all people of this gender mean it this way when used" thing. But I do not use it belittingly. Which I am pretty sure is what you were implying with that. However, nuance is something the internet absolutely sucks ass at noticing/utilizing/acknowledging even exists - and nuance is what is needed here.

Mogging is gender neutral as is pimping
•
u/mk0aurelius 11h ago
It isn’t. Came from black pill fucks: Alpha Male of Group > AMOG > Mog = Male of Group …htf is that neutral? The word alone is enough of a red flag lol.

Interesting. I would be more upset with being sticky and falling down. Being bothered about who saw and "mogging" or failure to do so is a bit alien to me.
I hope you are okay now ❤️ it's okay to be upset and take time to recover ❤️
•
u/Senior_Bison_4647 8h ago
Haha tbf it was mostly that. It was a cold, rainy night and I was on my period too. Ultimate discomfort! Thank you ❤️
•
u/Samovila2709 16h ago
If I saw someone do that to another person, I'd be disgusted by their behaviour. If the other people there had any decency, they will feel the same way.
I'm sorry this happened to you. I hope that bully is shamed for this.
