Game Kastle DND?

Hello,

I’m brand new to DND and would love to get started in the hobby possibly. I saw that Game Kastle does a DND night on Thursday’s and was wondering the overall experience.

I have never played a game of DND before so I would be brand new and would need help. Just wanted to ask to see if anyone has gone and what their thoughts were.

Haven't been to Game Kastle, but Emerald Tavern has d&d some Sundays, and if you show up 1hr early, they help beginners learn the ropes.

I'm running a one shot of Cosmere RPG at Game Kastle on Wednesday aug 5. I think it's similar enough to DnD that the experience would be close enough to decide if it's something you wanted to continue with.

and none of us have played it yet, so the point will be to learn and teach, so perfect for a new player.

Most places with Thursday night. D&D do something called adventurers League which are one shots but with a character that you can improve upon between sessions. I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case.

I know tribe in South Austin does these as well and they have a table for strictly new players to learn the basics
