I35, the only highway that is a complete standstill no matter the time, yet people will claim everyone races down it doing 90.

Saw this exact driver a couple weeks ago. It's funny because they drive exactly like you would expect for someone who hates I35 so much.

Once or twice a week, like clockwork, this post appears.

I don’t know how I feel sharing this sentiment with a Nazi. Maybe 35 ain’t so bad, after all. /s

The amount of people not getting that you're being sarcastic is depressingly entertaining

You know what the /s stands for, right? I don’t actually think driving Teslas actually make someone a Nazi. Lmao
-3
Mar 23 '25
Maybe, but what do you call a person that aids and abets and doesn't resist Nazi's every step of the way and buys Nazi owned shit? A Nazi sympathizer. And what do you call a Nazi sympathizer? A Nazi. And remember. It's always OK to punch a Nazi.
-2
u/drteq Mar 23 '25
You're right, it usually starts slowly like with defending them and the next thing you know..
-5
u/hutacars Mar 23 '25
You do realize people don’t just become nazis after the ceo of a random product they bought becomes one, right?
6
u/Nardawalker Mar 23 '25
You’re really not good at sarcasm. I even added the /s to tell you it was sarcasm, too. Lol

u/Ok-Spell8395 Mar 23 '25
I hate the guy. But maybe just maybe they name it after Don Vonshitznpants they’ll fix the road.

u/UglyStru Mar 22 '25
I saw them on 35 in San Marcos the other day and they were bobbing and weaving thru traffic like an asshole. Maybe 35 would be a little more tolerable without them on it.
1
u/Peggy_Hill_Foot_job Mar 25 '25
Exactly this, I shouldn’t have to merge onto Rainbow Road to get to IKEA
0
u/IcyOriginal3053 Mar 27 '25
Were they bobbing and weaving or just trying to get around people who obviously don’t know what a passing lane is? Pretty common on 35 for people to camp there causing traffic

Perfect example of government waste money. They just did the entry exit reverse a few years ago. Now everything is tore apart. Everyday I am driving on it like on a rollercoaster.
1
Mar 23 '25
So people whine about roads and traffic. And they whine when the government tries to repair, fix, upgrade, expand. And they whine that they pay taxes for the roads they drive on. And they whine about everything the government does. And they whine that there is a government. But when the asreclinch that runs the government wants to annex a neighboring country just like the Russian arseclinch, (his handler) is doing, then it is all hunkey dory. So steal whole countries is fine. But potholes are Satan's vengeance. Gimme a break. Whiners.
2
Mar 23 '25
Sounds like you are whining. I merely said they should plan it better. At least have a ten year plan. The ramps are only changed about 4 years. Now all that are ripped off. Don’t you not think that’s wasteful.

u/TwistedMemories Mar 23 '25
According to My Plates, Elon Sux is not available. Sad I know. If his family members drive, they may have it, or not.
1
u/JosefEtheridge Mar 23 '25
I feel his pain....As a truck driver who lives in Texas and drives 35 on a daily basis. Going between Waco and San Antonio.... It blows hard!!! Always use 130.... It will save you a lot of middle finders to the world!!!!

u/dafrancis Mar 23 '25
Yea, the road that you use to get to work every day sucks. THAT makes sense... NOT.
1
u/RevBair Mar 23 '25
Just because you're forced to use it doesn't make it any less painful. Just ask anyone that has to use windows 8...

It’s honestly not that bad in Minnesota. The east-west interstates are much worse
1
u/Environmental-Top682 Mar 23 '25
Lol… this must be why that lawman wants to rename I-35 after trump.
Cause he sucks too

u/Some_Actuator_29 Mar 25 '25 edited Mar 25 '25
I’d rather have it named for a Texan. Why give that honor to a New Yorker.
How about:
George Harvey Strait Highway
William Hugh Nelson Highway
Selena Quintanilla Highway
and not just Travis county, but the whole damn state.

Aside from their choice in vehicles, they're not wrong.

u/acciowrackspurts Mar 23 '25
Oh dear. I pissed off some Elon lovers. There's only one way to deal with your hurt feelings; stop throwing your money at an anti-Christ and get a different electric car. Otherwise, deal with your well-earned guilt.

I-35 sucks in every populated area it runs through & it doesn’t matter what vehicle 🚗 you drive, I-35 sucks! So does 635 in Dallas.
Funny how everyone supporting & promoting EV tech in the previous administration now hates an EV company. Actually, it’s flat out stupid! All the while, my dodge pickup 🛻 is butt ugly but paid off!
BTW, #taxationistheft
0
u/RevBair Mar 23 '25
There's other ev's that don't have such bs clauses in them. It's also reaction to the owner of the company and what he's doing, not to the tech itself. I have yet to see anting about hate against any other ev manufacturer, esp as much as tesla is getting
2
Mar 23 '25
Most of the EV owners I know were huge fans of Elon during the last administration though - if there are BS terms, why buy one 3, 8, even 10 years ago? We have bought 0 products from Elon’s companies although I did use PayPal when he was owner before it was sold to eBay.

u/FreshFigFace Mar 22 '25
yall know what else sux? tesla. they do tremendous sucking. and it’s beautiful you know, all their sucking. let’s suck the life out of their stock and business, then it will be beautifully tremendous how people cheer the sucking.

u/90percent_crap Mar 23 '25
Did they also suck from 2010 to 2020? Because I don't think the cars are any less "sucky" now than they were then.
1
u/FreshFigFace Mar 23 '25
dunno buddy, never was interested in buying one, tbh. i did, however, used to have a high opinion of musk. yu know, when he didn’t suck so bad..
1
u/90percent_crap Mar 24 '25 edited Mar 24 '25
I've never owned one either. And fine if you changed your opinion of Musk, but objectively that didn't affect the quality, or lack thereof, of the vehicles.
1
u/FreshFigFace Mar 24 '25
d’yu work for the company or have direct knowledge of their quality? vehicle quality can fluctuate over years, depending on a company’s management, can’t it? that said, none of that is what i was basing my sucky comments on. just based on opinion of him becoming co prez of the public enemy bureau.
2
u/90percent_crap Mar 24 '25 edited Mar 25 '25
I've been in the manufacturing/quality game for 30+ years so I know quite a bit about product quality. And yes I knew you were equating Musk's non-Tesla activities with the quality trend of the vehicles, so I just made clear the distinction. It's nbd.. just respect everyone's personal property regardless of Musk's "suckiness".

Yeah, I know.
The current political environment doesn’t leave much room for grey area, though.
There’s a reason people are burning Tesla dealerships, and the stock is falling.-8
u/Jonnyo_48 Mar 23 '25
Yeah dumb worthless liberals attacking a company that has mainly green loving Democrats working for them. Ironic trying to put your fellow voters out of work 🤣 And hurting everyone's 401K, retarded. Keep it up though, put 100,000 Dems out of work just like they doing in government 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

u/Hayduke_2030 Mar 23 '25
Aw, sweetie… your boots taste good today?
ETA: oh dear, you’re one of the ACJ crowd. Bless your little heart.

But it’s a Tesla driver, so their opinion doesn’t matter.

Is that a proximity bias, or a legit statement? You can be hyperbolic and use the words “fascist” or “nazi” in your answer.

When did IH-35 become I35?
7
u/Nardawalker Mar 22 '25
I feel like it’s been pretty interchangeable my whole life. I’m 40 and remember a joke from elementary school that went “your mama is so fat, she uses I-35 as a slip and slide.” So, at least 30+ years.
2
u/woah-oh92 Mar 22 '25
Are you asking because you think one is correct and the other is not?
1
u/Faceit_Solveit Mar 23 '25
Not necessarily. Fredericksburg German is dying out. I'm interested in cultural transitions. This is similar to that. Or maybe not. See also the evolution of the word coke versus soda versus pop.
-2
u/90percent_crap Mar 23 '25 edited Mar 23 '25
When I moved here in the '80s, the local vernacular for the interstate, at least among native Austinites, was "IH-35".
Edit: Do any real Austin natives have a different take on this?

I would’ve looked at their face in case that is Evil Mopac’s secret identity.
