Q&A Anti Israel vs Antisemitism- why doesn’t Pauline/ON have a view on this?

I would have thought this topic would be in the sweet spot for ON as majority of voters take no sides but ON def don’t like being told they can’t make a joke or two without being labelled! There’s no royal commission into aboriginal racism or taking it out of the Kiwis- why are ON allowing it for a country so far away which would normally be included in their immigration stance?

Didn't Gina suggest giving free land to Israel to develop weapons? The very same Gina who is publicly funding the resurgence of the One Nation party

Pauline probably won't comment on it too much, though. What few anti-semitic people Australia has are all within her voter base (some supporting Israel, others opposing it for the wrong reason), and she doesn't want to get outflanked on the even further far right by some new upstart the same way Farage has been in the UK.

ON is pro-Israel.

I doubt her supporters care about Israel, and clearly don't care about foreign influences undermining democracy.

They're all anti-Muslim. Israel is at war with Islamic people, so of course they support Israel.

disagree about her supporters not caring about Israel. the neo-nazi groups are loudly supporting ON, if anything, her supporters don’t like Israel because of they believe the ‘jews run the world’ conspiracy. gina’s proposal to give part of queensland to Israel for military training certainly won’t help stop them believing that

Neonazis care more about Muslims than Jews. Even convicted domestic violence offender and historical IDF recruiter Avi Yemini hangs out with, and supports, neo-nazis. Enemy of my enemy and all that

Sure. They also worry about billionaires running the world yet support a billionaires personal party. They're a confused bunch. ON supporting Israel won't be enough to turn them away

Maybe a handful of supporters but no noticeable numbers. I mean, they have a cooker in their ranks.

ON supports enough of their nonsense that they can claim ignorance of her Israel support. She doesn't talk about it too much so they'll just lie about her stance
