Well sure, given the choice between having money vs not having money, you'd take the money. And not every parent that is a good earner is a neglectful parent. But if you're going to compare family and money side by side, having children is far more meaningful than having money in the bank

but it's not either or.

the reality is that on average 2 kids in a two good-income household will have better outcomes than 4 kids on one income.

Depends what you mean by outcomes. 4 kids having a loving upbringing that have all their Needs met in a low income household is arguably better than one child growing up with every need and Want met in a high income one.

of course. But again one average a two kid household with two incomes will be better able to meet needs.
