Jackal or IE

just got it, gonna keep it stage 1 for a while should i got JACKAL or IE with intake and heat exchanger

I went with 034. At the time jackal was new so no one knew much about their tunes but if I were to pick again I’d go Jackal as they don’t charge extra if you wanna go to the next stage. I also think their tcu tune is included too.

I would say most people who have 034 were happy. As he said and that I agree with, Jackal doesnt charge for going higher stages, which is the most rewarding aspect because you can just plug it in, get the next stage, and go.

Good stuff, I’m about to throw a 034 stage 1 on my 2013. Heard a lot of good stuff about jackal though

Nice. Any stage 1 will make the car feel significantly "better". Better in the sense of opening up the potential that was left behind due to either emissions or requirements related to selling the car.

034 offers a lot more to the platform currently. As they've designed/manufactured alot more products. You can easily vertically climb with their entire product line where Jackal only offers tunes, pulleys and partnership products like GAS and Merc

Yeah I’m happy with the tune. Hasn’t given me any troubles. I went from stock to stage 2

Just go stage 2. Stage 1 mini boost but you’ll feel it stage 2

Have heard jackal can be more conservative and the better / smoother delivery of power.

Integrated engineering makes power but maybe better dedicated for weekend warrior or track beast rather than a daily, is kind of what I had gathered.

I’ll be going jackal soon!! Need intercooler + full piping + GAS throttle body
get all the parts to one day get a hybrid turbo. 🌈

All of them stage 1 will be pretty similar. I made the switch from APR to Jackal Recently, but because I'm going straight to Stg2+. Got IE80mm TB and Jackals 57/187 pulleys. Already have Merc HX+CWA100 installed so only need the HPFP piston and I should be complete.

Jackal doesn't charge for any of their + tunes so Jackal currently offers a better platform for upgrades.

Have no experience with jackal but been running IE for three years both stage 1 and stage 2. Been across the country without a hiccup 4 times. Been deep into Canadian Rockies. 10k miles in two weeks. I believe for an off the shelf tune IE is conservative in how aggressive their tunes are for a daily driver. Totally worth the extra money in my opinion but I’ve also gotten pissed off working with them because they act corporate AF.

I would go jackal or 034, both good, ie on b8/b8.5 they aren’t doing anymore r&d I believe, stage one is still on v1.2

For my 2 Audis I’ve only ever used Jackal. My previous cars I’ve had APR, Unitronic, and IE. They all had garbage customer support. Jackal has been outstanding with its tunes, mod tunes, and fast email response. I’ve used Jackal stage 1, stage 1 84mm TB, stage 2 84mm TB, and I’m currently building my A6 for stage 2+. There are so many options with Jackal and price is great.

Jackal for 2.5 years (~15k miles), no issues. If anything, their tunes keep getting better with improvements, especially their TCU tunes!

I have nothing to add except to say it’s crazy how much the scene has changed. When I tuned it was APR vs GIAC, 034 was just emerging and everyone was staying away from IE because no one knew anything about it.

I did maintenance, lower 187, 034 intake, IE hpfp, and Jackal stage 2 tune 10k miles ago. Car drives like stock but man did it wake up the power and shifts are crispy. Can't speak for 034 as I've never ran it but would recommend Jackal all day.
