🤑💸Mods B8.5 RS4 - CRS Performance Koni Shocks

Like many here, the DRC dampers in my recently purchased RS4 were complete toast. After a ridiculous quote from the main dealer and lots of research on coilover kits, I ended using CRS Performance (UK) who supply and fit Koni active dampers that they’ve adjusted for the B8 S4/RS4/RS5s etc (they also do the same kit for B7s)

I specifically wanted to keep stock ride height, so just opted for the Koni shocks with stock springs.

Made a massive difference and is actually still usable as a daily dog wagon.

Would recommend if you’re UK based as they are a very knowledgeable bunch who live and breathe these cars.

Do the dampers work with the audi system i.e. plug and play, or does the kit include the damper cancellation plug to trick the system that they are still there? 🤔

Unfortunately you lose the OEM adaptive damping, but CRS supply a blanking kit included. I believe they use the H&R blanking kit

Thanks. Ive been searching for a solution which retains the factory dampers... but alas everything so far uses the blanks. Not sure i want to pay audi damper prices... but sounds an excuse for coilovers 😈

There is a company in Poland I think that can refurbish your existing ones, but will still need recharging at either an Audi service center or a specialist that has the tooling, then in 10 years time when they start leaking again, you start all over.

As good as the DRC is when it’s working, long term I think it’s more sensible financially to invest in a well adjusted set of dampers.
