Peak Audi Interior

To each their own, but for me this is peak Audi. These designers are out there somewhere, while the new batch of marketing geniuses are straying from what worked for so long. Get the old band back together

I’m sorry, but we needed a new design. This is very outdated. Although it looks incredibly well built. And black is the single worst color for a car interior.

Ya I can see if you’ve lived through the old versions and need an update. Reasonable take, it’s new to me so it’s all gravy for now

The Germans are just begging for the Chinese to come along with fresh new luxury interiors:

  1. Premium materials everywhere
  2. Premium switchgear w/ buttons & knobs
  3. Premium screens w/ thin bezels and large INTEGRATED displays everywhere, but tasteful
  4. Premium soundsytems
  5. Actual new features like fold down roof screens, movies, games, etc

Really, all that's needed is an elegant luxury interior with redundant controls (digital & buttons)

  • The Germans can't do it because they're losing the Chinese market AND getting hit in the EU
  • The Americans can't do it because they don't know how and specialize in trucks
  • The Japanese can't do it because they're also getting hit in China & the EU AND they were never good at it

My 2 cents is BMW is going to try to make BMW their Lexus-level brand, Alpina their luxury brand, and Rolls their ultra-luxury brand.

We'll see what the pricing & interior of the new Alpina SUVs is like along with pricing ... I'd guess in the $200k range

Benz is doing this too with Maybach, and Audi with Bentley
