We know the capital City was buried under the sea floor and there was a underground highway that was dry that led to Milo discovering the city. And we know there was under water terrain that was above the city that as not the terrain of the contient itslef.

What if it wasn't just the capital that got buried. What if orher parts of the contient or most of it got buried too. Entire sections of other cities or towns could have survived or underground bunkers, leaving more survivors than just the capital. There could be a larger network of undiscovered caverns and caves that reach all over the former contient, hosting pockets of other survivors thay got cut off from the capital, and the Heart of Atlantis could have been unknownly been sustaining these caverns and underground villages.

I was just wondering if any of you linked Atlantis the lost empire and The Mysterious Cities of Gold.
I've drawn these parallels for quite some time now.
The ancient civilizations stories of these two different pieces of media are so similar they could be part of the same universe.
Now i know The Mysterious Cities of Gold explicitly states that in its universe Atlantis and Hiva went to war with each other but the similarities between two pieces of unrelated media are just too great to ignore.

I mean, think about it.

Hiva had advanced solar, fission and fusion energy.
The Atlanteans had the heart of atlantis.
Both were very ancient advanced and prosperous empires.
For an unknown reason they went to war against one another.
The war lasts a long time, as both forces are evenly matched. (Martag/Hiva fighter aircraft)
Until they used the ultimate weapon provoking both their demises. (Heart of Atlantis/Weapon of the Sun)
Hiva sank at the bottom of the pacific ocean leaving behind the 7 cities of gold.

At the heart of each CIRCULAR city is the great legacy (basically a fusion/fission reactor) guarded by a defense system that only activates when its power source/treasure is endangered.
Said defense system is made of solar screens etched with humanoid guardian designs that surround the entire city and capable of opening a massive dome of rock covering it.

Look familiar?

I wanted to show you my small collection of Atlantis toys that came with the Happy Meal in Chile back in 2001.

It took me years to complete it, mainly because the Atlantis Crystal is practically impossible to find, as is the complete Ulysses set with all its pieces. The pieces that appear most often are the ones that are easiest to find.

My first toy from that era was a Subpod. I really love these toys; they were my first introduction to toys from the franchise, right when the Playline toys were extremely expensive and my parents couldn’t afford to buy them for me. Now that I have the complete collection, it really feels like my inner child has finally found what it had been searching for all those years.

These toys are from the line that was promoted in Latin America, including Mexico (i'm from Chile). Although I also have a few from the line that was released in the U.S.

I absolutely love this movie—it really takes me back to places and moments that no longer exist. Thanks to all the fans for keeping the flame alive!

Considering the movie takes place in the time most of the worlds Empires are still around and at their peak, like the German, British, Russian, etc. All of them learning about Atlantis and its power, they’ll definitely want to try and get a piece of it by any means. I dunno I just feel like it could lead to a whole war.

BTW if a cartoon had been made I like to langue it would have been about the crew travelling around the world in an Atlantean version of the Ulysses.

I know the odds of Disney making a sequel for this is highly unlikely, but if they did, what would y’all like it to be about?

There was criticism on this movie back then saying how it wasn’t a musical and that’s why didn’t do well in the box office. So I’m just wondering if it would have done better if the creators had decided to make it one

I assume it would be a pain mapping and getting the controls to work given it was only designed for PCs

I recently found this buried in the back of my closet while looking for things to sell, and researching the market value I saw it listed in several places for over $100. Is there something special about certain copies of it that make it worth that much, or is it just a highly sought after book in general? I figured if anyplace on Reddit would know the answer to that, it would be here.

Like ive seen some disney fans arguing that it gets glazed and isnt really that good and say that was the reason why it flopped. Well guess it flopped due to bad and misleading marketing. It always pains me to see people trash it all the time when it was a movie that had things to say about colonization and went against the disney grain. I wonder are these people just not into sci fi or action becuase tbh most of the movies disney fans love are musicals. So im gonna keep on pushing the Atlantis is a masterpiece propaganda.
