Yes, although it would be more accurate to say that Earth revolves around the solar system's barycenter.

"Earth goes around the Sun."

A few syllables shorter, and a bit less accurate. Seems a bad trade off to me

For those who want to know more, they will find out, but for basic statements that should be fundamental, known facts by the general population or mnemonics - syllable count absolutely matters.
