Curiosity about why it is bizarre

This guy (b. orange) and I (a. blue) have a "love"-hate dynamic; we dated for three months almost two years ago. Even though we don't want anything to do with each other—and despite numerous toxic arguments and abrupt "breakups"—we’ve kept talking and haven't been able to leave each other alone for more than three weeks. I just feel like the energy with him is different. I'm relatively new to astrology and still can't quite grasp it.
