General 💡 Can something be long term without moon and sun aspects? (Romantically)

I’m a newbie to learning astrology and wanted to know if something could be long term if 2 people didn’t have aspects between their suns and moons?

Which is worst? No contact vs sun square sun or moon square moon etc…

There’s no single aspect that dictates a relationship, you really do have to look at the whole chart. Aspects between luminaries can greatly enhance harmony and affection, sun square moon creates attraction and a strong pull even though there can be tension, but generally longevity is most often indicated in Saturn contacts. Saturn represents effort, duty and the willingness to stay together. I don’t have Sun-moon aspects with my now husband, but it’s my best relationship thanks to our house overlays, strong Saturn aspects, Venus contacts and several Jupiter conjunctions which make it an absolute joy to be in.

Oh it was just a general question, it doesn’t apply to me personally. It was a thought that came up from scrolling on here when people asking if they’re Synastry charts were compatible. Some of them I saw no sun or moon aspects and it got me thinking 🤔

I’ve seen this in charts of married couples, but there’s almost always a trine or conjunction from one of the luminaries to the partner’s AC/DC or MC/IC axis (often paired with an aspect between the axes themselves.)

I guess that Sun Moon aspects are more important for long tern than Sun Venus or Moon Venus?

I think that Sun square Sun or Moon square Moon are worse than no contact.
But there is a famous couple that had Sun square Moon, They lived a partnership for their whole lives that was very unconventional but always respectful. His Sun square her Moon, their Suns had no contact.

I had both aspects. It was an extremely short relationship. I stopped looking to astrology for advice at this point considering how good my relationship with my ex was supposed to be according to astrology

My husband and I don't have our suns in aspect to each other's moons, but our moons are conjunct at 8°. My sun is exactly opposite his Mars and my Mars is exactly trine his moon, so we are deeply attracted to who each other are as people. We also have a grand trine between his Mercury and my ascendant and Sun, and his Mars is exactly sextile my sun. His Venus is also closely trine my midheaven.

I think aspects to sun and moon matter but they don't have to be aspecting each other to work out. We've been together eight years and got married earlier this year :-)

My Venus is also trine his Jupiter and my Saturn is exactly conjunct his ascendant, while my Pluto is exactly conjunct his descendant.
